Chapter 4

Chapter 3: Decisions Decisions

I'm, taken back for a moment, but I quickly cover it up, "Look I don't know who you are, or why you came, or even how much power you have! So why on earth would you think I would come with you!"

He laughs, "Oh no the question isn't why, it's why not? I mean your want to know the answers to your questions don't you! But most importantly, you want to know me!"

I shake my head and laugh at him, "Your insane!'

"Oh but aren't we all? I mean you say I'm insane but have you thought about what goes through your head? You LOVE your job, and you call that normal?" My jaw drops as I finnaly hear someone say the words I've been whispering to myself since I could talk, "Your not normal Luna, in fact, if anything your the most insane of us all!" He laughs at my reaction.

"You-how do you know what I think!!!!!" I scream at him, "I mean maybe I hate my job, my life, everything! You don't know me!!!!"

"Oh Luna, oh nieve little Luna!" He clicks his tongue at me, "I know you better than you know yourself it seams! See I'm not stupid, like all those others who run from you in fear, or stand and fight you, I know I can't win in a battle of strengths or wits, but see Luna, I do my research! I know everything about you! I know why your mum died, what happened to your father, I know what runs through that dark little brain of yours after a job is finished, I know what you dream about, your nightmares, even though you say you don't have any! See Luna because I know all this I can win, I can take everything you love," he pauses and looks over at Alec, but I just keep my face a mask and let him finish his speech, "I can bring everything that terrifies you to life! I am your worst nightmare Luna! But now I have to go!" And with that he's gone, I spin around searching for him, but there's nothing. Then I see something in my peripheral vision. A white peace of parchment fluttering in the breeze.

I go over to it and read the note:

Luna,

See I know you will eventually want to contact me, and even if you don't want to, you'll have to. See I know how your Angel comity, or whatever you want to call it, I know how they work. So I know they will send you after me, not questioning whether or not you could die. So I've oh so graciously left you a way to find me. Burn this paper, and then, well, just do that and the rest will fall into place.

"UGH!!!" I yell in exasperation.

"Luna?"

Alec's POV- I slowly sit up from an extremely uncomfortable position on the ground. Even though I had been in a semi-unconscious state I had heard everything that happened. I look over at where Luna now stands alone. She's reading some peace of parchment the looks like it's been torn off of a bigger peace of paper.

She tilts her head back in an exasperated manner, "UGH!!!"

"Luna?" I question, "Is everything alright?"

"No you idiot everything is not all right!!!! Ugh, you've ruined everything! I had him right where I wanted him, then you had to come along and try to be some stupid hero, well you know what?" she doesn't wait for me to answer, "Now I've lost him because of you, and now I have to go to him on his terms!!! Ugh, you know, sometimes your such an idiot!!!"

I hadn't realy expected the rage, and it just kinda made me explode, "Well you know what? I'm sorry for worrying about my best friend! You always go around acting like your better than everyone, saying your invincible! And I'm sick and tired of this bullshit!!!" I turn around ready to leave, but I stop to say one more thing to her, "I just thought it might be nice for you to have someone to worry about, I know I sure would appreciate it." I know those words stung her cause that's always been an unspoken truth between us, everyone has always seen her as perfect, and untouchable. No one every worries about her.No one every worries about me either, but it's because they are always so focused on her.
