Ohhhh I'm so stupid :( THis part is really short, I'm sorry. I was planning on making it longer, but then I would have to bring Nick back into the story, and I don't wanna do that until the next upload. Long story....

Basically, please enjoy this tiny paragraph :P that I wrote in about 2 minutes.

TO make up for it, I'm posting loads today. Enjoy!

"Cool. One of my friends from my old school wrote and stuff... she was published in a few magazines."

"Erick, you know? He has a book. Two books."  Madeline also said; "you know" a lot.

            "Wow."

            "Are you gonna draw anything?"

"I don't know what to draw."

"Have that problem? Like, artist's block?"

            "Yeah."

"Cool. Tell me if this is good. Critique it, you know?" she handed me a notebook. On the paper was a girl, tall and skinny, kinda like Maddie herself. She had on and old-fashioned dress and was standing in a pool of water, looking off to the side. It was beautiful, but sad looking, too.

"Wow. This is amazing! You're a really good artist!" I told her. Maddie beamed.

"Thanks! Work in progress, right?" she stood up and walked back over to Nathan.

I sighed and stared back down at my empty sheet of paper. What could I draw? I usually draw from memory- I don't really need models or anything.

By the time the bell rang, my page was still empty, except for a tiny scribble of a dancing penguin on the side.

"What did you draw?" Tasha asked as we headed to our lockers together.

            "Nothing."

            "At all?"

"Nope. I couldn't get any ideas.

"That's okay. That happens to all of us. Most day I don't finish anything. And I end up throwing out half my paintings."

            "Really?"

"Yeah. It's no big deal. It's not like we'll kick you out or anything!" She giggled.

Even though it was stupid, I breathed a little sigh of relief. SO much for my tough girl exterior!
