My eyes go to Blake and Bailee who are heading towards us with clasped hands and I can't help but feel nervous about what might happen. Bailee looks radiant, chatting animatedly with Blake, and seems not to have noticed our presence a few meters, unlike Blake who has seen us at the moment but his eyes have remained focused on Jake.

"Ready for this?" Jake asks, giving me a reassuring smile.

"Not really, but I guess I have no choice," I reply, trying to muster some courage.

"Why do I feel like I'm going back to 5 months ago when Reece was trying to kill me just by looking at me?" Jake asks confused when he noticed the same as me and I can't help but laugh at his bewilderment.

"Reece at least had reason to be jealous, but I don't understand Blake now" I murmur. Jake's eyes widen in surprise before he pushes me playfully to the side. I glare at him, my hand over my heart in mock offense.

"Excuse me lady, but what reasons could he have had back then?" he stands up as he speaks, offering his hands to help me up as the gentleman he is. I take them gladly with a smile.

"Shhh, they're coming." Blake opens his eyes surely surprised because just like me last week, he didn't expect Jake to change that much either. Jake is taller than him now.

"Hey man, long time no see!" Jake and Blake engage in that enigmatic man-greeting ritual, a handshake turned half-hug that I'll never fully understand. "Nice to see you again, Bailee. Sorry if I've stolen Giselle from you, but I hate my roommate," Jake adds with a grin.

"Oh no, don't worry!" Bailee waves off his apology, and I'm relieved to see she doesn't seem to know anything about the tension. "Shall we go?" she asks, and we all head towards the fair.

I link arms with Bailee as we weave through the crowded fair, leaving the boys behind us. They're engrossed in their conversation, probably about who knows what. I just hope Jake doesn't mention what I told him earlier. The fair is buzzing with activity, stalls from different societies and clubs everywhere. I can't even count them all; there are too many.

As we pass one stall, a boy wearing a t-shirt with the slogan "My destiny is calling me, the stars are aligning for me" stops us. "Hey girls, are you interested in astronomy? We believe our destiny is written in the stars, and we are who we are because of them," he says, smiling shyly. It's clear from our faces that we're not into horoscopes or astrology. I squeeze Bailee's arm, unsure how to decline politely.

"Thank you for your offer, but we're not really science girls," Bailee explains kindly. The boy nods and moves on to approach another group of students. "What about going to the art and media section?" she suggests.

"That would be great, actually," I agree, feeling relieved.

When we arrive at the art and media section, we're greeted by the lively energy of dancing people. I cling to Bailee, both amazed and slightly scared. This is so different from what I expected. Two groups of a cappella singers are competing, and even though my voice is terrible, I can't help but nod my head to the rhythm, mumbling the lyrics of the song they're singing. Warwick Glee, A Cappella Society, Bands Society.

"Blake, look at this one!" she screams at him as she signs a poster which said "Band Society". Since when does Blake sing? "You should definitely join that society"

"Do you sing?" I ask Blake, surprised. He's never mentioned singing, but I know he loves playing the guitar because he often uploads videos of himself playing his favorite songs.

"Well, I wouldn't exactly say that but yeah." Blake admits, rubbing his neck and looking down, embarrassed.

"You should definitely listen to them someday. They're great as a band!" Bailee exclaims, and I can't be more confused. Is Blake in a band? Are Reece and George part of it too?
