Hidden rain

A new home- Part 2

A/N sorry I haven't been updating a lot, things have been hard recently. I hope some of you are still with me >~<

~Third person~

Sunshade jumped, he hadn't expected to see his father here of all places.

"DEATHBRINGER YOU OVERRIPE MANGO! I told you a thousand times you don't need to follow me to "protect me" at every single gathering or diplomatic meeting I have to attend!"

Glory sounded irritated, but Sunshade knew from the bubbles of rose pink that glowed around her ruff that she was happy to see him. Deathbringer walked over and nudged Sunshade's wing with his own in greeting.

"You need someone to go get Peacemaker, and here I am, ready to go get him." He shot her a charming smile and spread his wings and talons in a bow.

"Well if you must, I sent him into the other room while our son was communing with our guests here." 

Deathbringer winked at Glory before sauntering off onto the other room. She rolled her eyes playfully and a short moment later, Deathbringer reappeared with Peacemaker close behind. Peacemaker walked over and nudged Sunshade's wing with his own.

"What's going on?" He whispered.

"We're going to try and convince those two over there that being hybrid isn't that bad, and nobody will try to hurt them anymore." 

Peacemaker nodded slowly and shifted his weight to his back talons.

"All right, I'll help you."

Sunshade breathed a sigh of relief. Then a voice spoke from behind him.

"You wanted to speak with us?"

Sunshade turned around with a jolt to find that the voice was Plumeria, with Aurora right by her side.

"Uh, I ah- y-yes." Sunshade cleared his throat, turning red with embarrassment. "My friend and I would like to speak with you about how you don't have to hide anymore." 

Aurora tilted her head to the side, a curious look on her face. Sunshade couldn't help but become lost in her eyes once again. Her eyes flicked up and locked with his, and stared at him with a look that could've melted the ice kingdom. He didn't even realize Peacemaker had started talking.

"Ever since the dragonets of destiny ended the war and Blister and Burn met their ends, there was no need for hybrids to hide anymore. Nobody will hurt you here."

Wow, I am so sorry for taking so long. Short hiatus is over, and I hope to have more updates in the near future. But I finally got all done with school! Yay! anyways, love yourself and peace out til next time.
