(A/N sorry if the last chapter kinda sucked, I wrote it at like 1 am :p and we are switching the focus from Aurora to Sunshade now. So I'll be focusing on him for a little bit)

-Nobodys P.O.V-

Sunshade was in the village's butterfly garden, enjoying the sense of peace it gave him. He spread his wings out wide to catch the warm sunlight and the butterflies swerved around him to avoid his oddly colored scales. Sunshade's wings were a metallic royal blue that melted into a deep rose gold. Rainbow scales dappled his snout and his underbelly, the rest of his slender form was black.

I wonder what Peacekeeper is up too, maybe he wants to hang out. Sunshade wondered wistfully. The sun dipped behind a cloud and Sunshade sighed, letting his wings drop to his sides. He was happy, but he sometimes wished that he hadn't been born a hybrid. He wished he belonged to one tribe instead of two. But he had a home, food, warmth, and two parents that loved him. Peacekeeper didn't know his dad, but his mother loved him more than enough to make up for it. Sunshade was glad that he knew both of his parents, Queen Glory and Deathbringer.

Sunshade shook himself out of his thoughts and crouched down to leap into the air to head back to the village. But before he could take off, a pink dragon barrelled into him, knocking Sunshade to the ground.

"Gah! Uncle Jambu get your great galumphing talons off of me by all the moons!" Sunshade roared, a bit irritated with the older dragon. Jambu stepped off of him and shook out his wings with mock importance.

"The Queen has summoned you to the visitor's hut immediately." Sunshade smiled and rolled his eyes playfully.

"Well then, we must not keep her majesty waiting now should we?" They both laughed as they began winging back towards the visitor's hut. As they flew, Sunshade decided to make small talk with Jambu, and they happily chatted until they made a sharp turn in the dense forest and the visitor's hut came into view.

Sunshade could now make out the small group of dragons inside the hut as he drew closer. There was his mother, peacekeeper, and two dragons that he had never seen before. As they drew closer one of the dragons locked eyes with him. She looked like an icewing to him, but then some of the scales on her snout shifted to yellow. Sunshade's wings skipped a beat and he almost fell out of the sky. He locked eyes with the dragon again and he was immediately entranced by her eyes. They were deep, clear pools of blue that reminded Sunshade of a cloudless azure sky on a warm summer day.

Sunshade landed on the smooth platform, still staring at the female hybrid with shock and wonder. He took a tentative step towards her and she crouched down in a defensive stance, growling softly. Sunshade flung out his talons and spread his wings out in the most open, harmless way he could manage. He felt her gaze scanning all along his body, then she met his gaze, and Sunshade was lost once again in her eyes.

"Wow, you're beautiful." He murmured. A wave of pink washed through the scales on her snout and she flicked her wings back.

Oh no, I just said that out loud. I'm so stupid! Sunshade realized.

"Uh, I-I'm really sorry I um-" Sunshade wanted to curl up in a ball, turn into a rock, and disappear forever. He covered his face with his talons. Then he heard a cool, quiet voice whisper to him.

"Nobody has ever told me that before. You don't have to apologize for being nice." Cool talons gently took his, and lowered them from his face.

"Who are you?" He asked in a soft voice.

"My name is Aurora, and my sister is Plumeria." Aurora pointed a talon at the other hybrid female looking at them grumpily. "You must be Sunshade, right?" He nodded slowly. Everything was silent for a few heartbeats. Aurora looked down at her talons and Sunshade realized with a jolt that his own talons were still resting in hers. Aurora started to pull her talons away, but Sunshade reached out and clasped them in his.

"Would you and your sister come and live in the village?" Sunshade quickly asked Aurora without thinking. She blinked, hesitating a moment before she replied.

"I'm sorry, but I don't know if we're going to stay here."

A/N Oohoho, I smell a ship! I feel like I'm taking it too fast though :/ But anyway, sorry for taking so long, this was supposed to be a longer chapter but it's like, really late and I should get this thing called sleep.
