-Nobody's P.O.V-

Aurora turned her head away from him, and Sunshade let go of her talons feeling hurt.

"Um, no." Sunshade turned his head and found that it was Aurora's sister who had spoken. "Aurora, there is no way I am going back to that small cave in the middle of nowhere that we call 'home'. Plus, you two are totally cute together." Plumeria smirked. Aurora whipped around to face her sister and smacked her with one of her wings. Sunshade felt a slight blush creep up his cheeks. Plumeria gave her sister her best injured look, leaning back and placing her front talons on her chest.

"Now WHAT in all of Pyrrhia did I do to deserve THAT?"

Aurora rolled her eyes at her sister and growled.

"Just keep your mouth shut you great screech owl."

Sunshade hadn't realized his mother was still there until she stepped forward and swept a massive wing in between the two sisters.

"I'm sure we can work something out for you two, we would be happy to welcome you to the rainforest with open wings." The rainwing Queen spoke calmly to the feuding sisters. After a moment of silence that lasted an eternity to Sunshade, Aurora sighed.

"Thank you for the offer your majesty, but- mfh!" Aurora was cut off by Plumeria slapping her talons over her sister's snout and smiling at Queen Glory.

"We'd love to stay thank you, Queen Glory." Plumeria corrected her sister. The Queen nodded and smiled at them, and Sunshade could feel himself beaming.

"Now, Sunshade and Jambu can show you around the village."

Aurora nodded respectfully to his mother. His mother nodded back and headed over the edged of the platform, wings half spread ready to take off when a voice called out.

"Your majesty, may I ask you a question?" Sunshade turned his head to see Aurora stepping towards the Queen. Glory folded her wings back and nodded to Aurora.

"Would you, um happen to know  if....if there-" She choked on the words and blinked rapidly, then composed herself again. "Was there a dragoness named Cloud who went missing ten years ago?"

Light dawned in Glory's eyes after a few moments, and she nodded.

"Yes, there was. We kept searching for her but, we never found her." She hung her head pensively.

"She was our mother. Sh-she died eight y-years ago."

Why Sunshade did what he did next, he would never know. He went over to Aurora and slowly wrapped one of his wings around her, and he could feel her body tense before leaning into him.

"How did she die?" Sunshade asked her softly, resting his snout on her head.

"A dragonbite viper came through the tunnels and bit her. I...I had to sit there and watch her die, I didn't know what to do. I was only a year and a half old.." Her body shook with silent sobs, and Sunshade held her tighter.

"Excuse me." Sunshade looked up to see Plumeria. "Can I just borrow my sister for a moment?"

Sunshade nodded and removed his wing from Aurora's back and sidled up to where his mother sat, while the two sisters huddled together speaking in hushed tones.

"Mother?" Glory hummed in response. "Could they meet Peacekeeper, and we can show them that they don't need to be afraid." She nodded slowly.

"Yes, that sounds like a good idea. I sent Peacekeeper into the other room, why don't you go get him."

Sunshade's father chose that time to make his entrance.
