'A website, at least two posters, three pamphlets, and a trailer video,' I listed out the content from the text sent by Siri, 'we can decide on the video sometime later.'
Three days had passed since we last spoke to Siri and were told that we would be getting our work soon. Since then, she had been dead silent, and a point we were wondering if she completely forgot about us.
'Sounds fine to me. Although I can't believe she took this long to just give us a list,' Kaashi commented.
'She... is a busy person,' I replied, trying to be reasonable.
'Yeah, yeah. Your crush can't hear you,' she said mocking me.
Never mind, I said to myself as I let out a dull sigh. Kaashi, who was sitting on the bed, turned the laptop towards her and took a glance at the mail. 'A week's time,' she noted, 'fantastic! We have plenty of time to complete this.'
'Yeah, if we start now, we might be able to get it done smoothly,' I replied.
'Now?' she asked, looking a bit surprised.
'Yeah. I mean, it is going to take some time to build a website.'
'Dude, it is a piece of cake. We just go online and play around with the designer, it is going to spit out a functioning website in mere seconds.'
'Wait!' I interrupted her, after she stopped, 'we won't be coding this?'
'Are you crazy? I learned this stuff in the second year. I don't even remember the code.'
'But isn't using online tools like these... illegal or something?' I asked.
'Who cares how the product was made? As long as we deliver a working product.'
I wasn't quite convinced with her answer, but I nevertheless kept quite.
'You chill,' she said, 'we will get this done.'
Kaashi isn't the first person I would trust with getting things done, but when she is confident, I do find it comforting. 'Alright,' I replied.
'Great!' she said and immediately flopped onto the bed, 'I am going to take a nap.'
Oh no, just when I had thought she might have changed. 'Seriously?'
'One week. I am just using two hours of it,' she argued.
I didn't reply, it felt pointless. However, Kaashi decided she wasn't done. She immediately popped back up, turned towards me, and said with a big smile on her face, 'you what? I think this is going to be like the first year!' I could feel the excitement radiating from her.
'First year, huh?' I didn't have anything better to say.
'Yeah. We were like together all the time. Especially during exams. Late night sessions. I miss those days!'
'Well... you did say that we will get experience this when began working,' I said. She did say that once upon a time.
This seemed to have made her even merrier. 'Ha! I was right!'
She was right, in a sense. I smiled softly and said, 'well let us hope for more days like these.'
'Exactly!' she replied, 'now, don't disturb me.' With that, she rolled over and fell back into her sleep.
There was a little part of me screaming with joy which made me smile, a bit. Kaashi opened an old memory that was locked up deep in my head and now I could not stop myself from reminiscing about it. Man! Those days feel like they happened eons ago. Despite not being my best of times, there was some untold joy in those days.
