Chapter 24: The Seige of Zyggeria: Part 2

Anakin free fell to the palace balcony below him. He landed, his lightsaber lighting on impact. He swung at the Queen's body guards who were wielding their electric staffs. He killed them easily. He grabbed the queen and put his lightsaber against her neck.
"Where is my Padawan?" He growled.
"If you kill me..." she choked, "you'll never find her."
"I will burn your slave empire to the ground, and from the ashes I will find her. I don't need you." Anakin said, and pushed his saber through her chest. Obi Wan didn't stop him. He knew Anakin would stop at nothing to get Ahsoka back, and he was ok with that.
"Rex!" Anakin yelled, "There's a hut palace not too far from here. Take the 501st and destroy any slavers you find."
"Got it sir. 501st battalion, with me!" Rex yelled running out the doors. Anakin ran to a slave who was covering behind the throne.
"It's ok. You're safe now. Find every slave you can and take them outside the city limits, we have transports waiting to take you to a safe location. Go. Run!"
"Thank you." She nodded, then ran to fetch her friends. Anakin and Obi Wan ran after her, lightsabers cutting down the Zyggerians as they ran down the hallway.

The building shook as Ahsoka presented the plate to the hut. She grinned. She knew it was Anakin. Blaster bolts came down the hallway. The hut growled and yelled in anger, throwing his plate of fruit to the side and reaching for his button in his wrist.
"You'll pay little Togruta." He said, slamming his fist down on the button, which had been turned to maximum voltage. Ahsoka screamed and fell to the ground.

Rex ran down the hallway, firing bullets at the guards that tried to stop him. He stopped at the top of the stairs searching for Ahsoka. He saw the hut press a button, and his friend fell to the ground, screaming. His eyes narrowed and his blood boiled.
"You're going to regret that." He growled before firing at the hut, who fell easily. He ran to the smoking Ahsoka.
"Hey kid." He said sliding his arms under her knees and neck.
"Rex. I knew you'd come for me." Ahsoka smiled before falling unconscious.
"Sir!" Mila ran up to Rex, give her to us. "We will take her to the transports, you go free more slaves." Rex nodded, handing Ahsoka to a muscular Twi Lek who was running up next to Mila.
"See you later kid." Rex squeezed Ahsoka's hand before pulling his helmet on and running out the door.
"She was right Jarfin, they really were coming to rescue us." Mila said looking at the limp Ahsoka.
"Yeah. She was. Now let's get out of this place."
"I agree. Everybody! This way!" Mila yelled, pointing out the door, and everybody ran to freedom.

The battle was over. Every slaver was either dead or captured, and every slave in the city had been freed. The people who weren't slave owners or slavers were allowed to rebuild their city without Slaves, with the help of the Republic, and under the watchful eye of the Jedi. But the siege was far from over, the entire planet was a slave market, and Anakin wasn't going to stop until everyone was freed. For now, however, he was taking a break while the other Jedi went on to the next city. He wandered through the crowd of freed slaves, looking for Ahsoka. He saw a pair of blue and white horns sticking out from behind a transport and his eyes widened.
"Ahsoka!" He called running toward her. When he got to her, she was laying on the ground being checked over by a medical droid.
"Ahsoka." He kneeled next to her putting his hand on her arm.
"What's wrong with her? Is she ok?" Anakin asked nervously.
"She's fine. Exhausted from resisting the torture of high voltage electric staffs, but she will recover after a few days of rest." The droid said. Anakin nodded, and the droid walked away.
"Hey snips." Anakin said as she blearily  opened her eyes.
"What's going on?" She asked looking around.
"Leia! The younglings! I have to protect them! I have to.." Ahsoka jumped up but immediately yelled and fell back down to the floor.
"Ahsoka! Ahsoka calm down," Anakin caught her, laying her back down on the floor, support omg her head with his arms.
"You saved them snips. You saved Leia and the other younglings. You were taken to Zyggeria and enslaved by Tripo the Hut, we rescued you. You're safe now." Anakin said. Ahsoka relaxed. Anakin took her lightsabers from his belt.
"Here you go snips." She smiled as he clipped them onto her belt.
"Thanks skyguy. I owe you one." She said. Anakin laughed.
"After saving Leia? I think we're about even." He said. Ahsoka shook her head.
"Not even close." She said. Anakin smiled and squeezed her arm.
"I'm sending you in a special transport straight to coruscant. Rex will accompany you. As soon as you're healed, he'll bring you back here."
"General Skywalker!" Rex's voice called out.
"Over here Rex!" Anakin yelled.
"Did you find her? Did she make it back?" Red urgently poked his head around the corner.
"Hey kid!" He said kneeling next to Anakin.
"Hey Rex." She smiled, "Ready to head back to coruscant?"
"Sure am commander." Anakin helped Ahsoka stand up, slowly, then leaned her on Rex.
"I'll see you two in a few days." He said, putting a hand on Ahsoka's shoulder.
"See ya sky guy." She said, and then she and Rex walked to the transport.
