Chapter 21: Home

"Leia!" Anakin called, running toward his daughter. He reached her and pulled her up into his arms, hugging her tight.
"Daddy!" She said, hugging him tightly.
"How was your week princess?" He asked, resting her on his hip.
"I was a real princess! I wore dresses and I went to meetings with Adailana! I learned so much!"
"That's so good Leia!" He smiled. He had been waiting for her to come back since the moment she was gone.
"Hey sky guy, let me see my Padawan before you smother her to death." Ahsoka came up beside him.
"She's not your padawan yet snips, in fact, you're still mine." He said. But he handed Leia over anyway.
"Soka!" Leia grabbed on to Ahsoka's head and she laughed.
"Mommy!" Leia yelled and Ahsoka quickly transferred the bouncing toddler to her mother, who was also holding Luke.
"Leia!" Padmé said, giving her daughter a kiss, but Leia was already distracted by Luke, who was hugging his sister fiercely.
"I missed you Leia." He said.
"I missed you too Luke." She grabbed his hand, holding onto it tightly. Rex and Obi Wan came along next.
"Hey little warrior!" Rex said, ruffling her hair lightly. Rex had mastered the art of ruffling her hair without ruining whatever hairstyle Anakin had put it in.
"Rex!" She said, grabbing onto his finger with the hand that wasn't holding Luke's.
"Bee!" She said as Obi Wan put a hand on her tiny shoulder.
"The whole family back together again." Anakin smiled, "what will we do for our last week on Naboo?" Luke and Leia shared a look before using their combined force to push Rex into the fountain behind them.
"Swim!" They yelled as Padmé dropped the squirming pair. Rex climbed out of the fountain, dripping, but laughing along with the others.

It had been two weeks since the family first landed on Naboo. Leia had spent a week learning about Politics, and the Queens term had come to an end. Now, the family was headed home, with an extra passenger. Adailana was at the landing pad, bidding goodbye to the friends she had made during her last weeks as Queen.
"Goodbye Padmé. Please, come visit Naboo as often as you can."
"I will, Adailana. Leia, would you like to say goodbye?" The girl nodded and her mother passed her over to her friend.
"Thank you." She said, hugging the Queen. Leia had come back from her time with the Queen even more fierce than when she had joined her. When she had come home, Leia had a whole new suitcase of Nubian royal clothes.
"Are you ready, Maeka?" Rex asked the handmaiden. Padmé has agreed to take her on as the handmaiden to the chancellor. She smiled and nodded her head, taking Rex's arm as he carried her suitcase into the ship. Anakin walked over and took Leia from Adailana.
"Thank you again your majesty." He said, shaking her hand. She nodded, then turned back to the palace to finish gathering her things.
"Alright. All aboard thats going aboard!" Anakin called as the family loaded themselves into the ship. Then they were off, Luke and Leia waving goodbye to their home.
