You wasted no time rushing back to the hideout, the atmosphere was still tense when you arrived. It was eerie, what happened must have still been lingering.
You slung your stuffed school bag onto the counter.
"You guys wanna know what I do at school? Do my homework and get a taste for yourself." You said, crossing your arms.
Toga sauntered over to your bag and held your keychain in her hand, it was a small pink bunny.
"Aww, how cute!" She squeaked.
You looked over to Compress, who was sitting against the wall, holding his shoulder where his arm used to be.
"Are you able to use your quirk?" You questioned, walking over.
"Yes, m'lady. But that doesn't change the fact that my arm is gone." He said, looking up.
Staring into his abstract mask, you start to brainstorm. His quirk is back? I'll have to check mine. I'll need an antidote regardless just in case this happens again.
"I'll get you a prosthetic arm if that'll help you." You smile, going down to your lab to begin hours of work.
You feel a hand grab your wrist, turning around to see Compress holding your wrist in his grasp.
"Here's the bullet they used on me, I hope it can be of use." He opened your palm and dropped it inside.
"Thank you." You gave a warm smile and walked to your lab.
You grabbed a hammer and smashed the bullet open, the plastic interior glossed with an unknown substance. This was surprising, you didn't know that there was remnants of the quirk erasing mixture. Grabbing a cotton swab, you quickly swabbed the liquid up and got to work.
After hours of experimenting, you've concluded that whatever this strange serum was, had human blood cells inside. It shook you to the very core. Was this Overhaul guy using people to make these weapons? It shook you to your very core just thinking about it. He was powerful, smart, ruthless. The mere thought of him made your entire body quake, even thinking back to that short moment where eye contact was made, caused your knees to weaken.
The antidote was surprisingly easy to make, just a small swab of the remnants from the bullet was enough to make a small bottle or two. It still creeped you out that it had human blood cells in it. You hoped that one day, you can create an antidote from branching out from what you have now, not having to require human blood for it to work.
You took the antidotes and stashed them away with your quirk amplifying substance, they were too precious to be left out in the open. The thought of having things as important as those made your blood rush, you've never worked with something so fragile and rare in a long time.
You walked upstairs to meet the others, you were somewhat famished and wanted to get food. Shigaraki was holding a phone, while holding a card with two fingers with his other hand. Curious, you poked your head around, your blood instantly ran cold. In his hand, Shigaraki held the Shie Hassaikai business card. Many emotions hit you at once. Fear, excitement, longing.
"T-Toga-chan?" You called out to your blonde friend, stepping away from Shigaraki.
"Hm?"
"Do you want to get take-out?"
"Of course! I love getting to go outside!" She squealed.
You heard Shigaraki grunt. Looking at Toga, you held a finger over your lips. Earning a nod, you both walked out and went to get food to bring back.
"The League's funds are decreasing right now, let's just get some pizza." You stated, walking down the dark streets beside Toga as she skipped happily, hands behind back.
"Hey, (Y/n)-chan... do you enjoy working with us?" She questioned rather seriously, slowing to a simple pace walk instead of skipping.
"Of course, I grew up there after all." You smiled.
"Sometimes I used to think that you'd snitch us out since you go to UA. I don't get why Tomura is ok with you going there." She pouts her lips.
"I want to see things from other perspectives so I can help you guys, Master helped me understand that. I care about you all more than those UA 'brats' as Tomura likes to call them. Just think of my enrollment in UA as spy work, kay?"
"Okay!" Toga squeaked, speeding up to a skip once again.
Once you got the pizza, you and Toga went back to the hideout and ate with the other League members but Shigaraki was nowhere to be found.
"Kurogiri, where's Tomura? He gets a bit... angrier when he hasn't eaten." You questioned, resting your cheek against your fist as your elbow is propped on the cold counter top.
"A business meeting, that's all I can say." He responds.
You hum, looking over at the business card where Shigaraki normally sits. This couldn't be good, was he meeting up with these people again? Shigaraki never learns, what does he want from these people?
You glance at the clock, it's 10pm. You had school the next day so you went to bed. Hopefully whatever Shigaraki did wasn't too serious. Afterall, that's what you thought.
