Chapter 15: Chaos

You and the others continued down the long tunnels, at this point, your feet were aching and you were ready to sit down for a while but Kai seemed to be in a rush.

You heard shouting behind you. Kai stopped before you could react, causing you to bump into him by mistake. You muttered an apology and turned around to see who made the shout. A tall blonde haired male with blue eyes and the number, one million, across his chest.

"A hero caught up already?!" You started to panic, your legs trembling. You didn't want to fight at all, you just wished that you, Kai, Eri and Kurono could make it out safe but it seems that the desire would be soon unreachable.

"Can I ask some questions?" The blonde male asked, catching his breathe.

"You shouldn't have made it here so fast..." Kai groaned.

"I took a shortcut to get here... I'm here to rescue those girls." The blonde stated.

"Those girls?!" You felt your blood run cold, you've made it this far, you can't go back now.

  During Sir Nighteye's Gathering...

"We're wondering if this Chisaki bastard is turning his daughter's body into bullets then using them somehow to make his reputation and profits grow." Nighteye states, the heroes at the table look at one another in shock. Aizawa clears his throat and raises his hand slightly to speak.

"I've been informed about a matter involving Chisaki that's been similar in this issue. Somebody I know has informed me that he has taken a UA student hostage by threatening her at a shopping complex. I have looked into the matter by going through security footage and I feel as if the matter is true. And to make the situation more suspicious, this student has been disenrolled from UA without knowledge of it the next day. If my suspicion isn't true then she should at least be taken into questioning."

"Do you have the footage with you, Eraser Head?" Nighteye glances in his direction. Aizawa nods and stands up, going to the projector and sliding in a disk, the footage from the mall plays on the screen.

"This is outrageous! We need to track this monster down immediately!" Fatgum hisses, clenching his fist.

                  (Flashback ends)

"Now that you've stuck your nose into my business, your putting on your hero mask, Mr. Student? These girls don't want you to rescue them." Kai groaned, clearly annoyed from the intrusion.

"That's why I'm here!" The blonde hisses. You feel your hairs stand on end, you could see how tense this hero was. Secretly, you wanted him to take Eri and give her a better life. But you, you were better off where you were now, you were too far gone to change everything now. You've started to embrace who you were and who you were meant to be.

"You're not understanding. I'll make it easier, go die." You watch Kai turn around and leave, as well as Kurono. You watch the hero jump into action and you quickly catch up to Kai, grabbing the back of his jacket in fear. You glance back at the hero, who was on his hands and knees, when you both made eye contact, you quickly looked away and continued forward. When you heard a gunshot behind you, you gripped Kai's coat tighter.

"I-I'm not so sure about this... I'm scared." You whimpered, mumbling the last word.

"Don't be, those heroes are not worthy of being called a threat." Kai sighs, you swallowed a lump in your throat and released his coat.

You look up to see Kai turn around, before you could do the same, he pushed you aside to Kurono and Eri. You stumbled backwards and fell down, once you got back to your feet, you saw the blonde swing his leg. His leg went through Kurono's head, causing him to fall. He caught Eri in one of his arms, pulling you into his other free arm.
