My Fairy.

Chapter 13 - Let's Go Home.

Mew has been looking for the fairy for the past 45 minutes now. He has been running all the time so his feet hurts and his sandals are apparently torned a bit. He's tired but he won't stop, not until he found the fairy. His heart can't take it when he think of the posibility that the fairy is scared and hiding somewhere right now.

His eyes are sweaty, he wants to cry. He regret kicking out the fairy even after all those thing the fairy did for him. If he just could turn back time, he wouldn't shout at the fairy, making him scared, but instead he would just hug the fairy and tell him that it's going to be okay.

I'm sorry, Gulf... I'm sorry that I didn't keep my promise... I'm sorry that I abandoned you...

A new hope then appear, a phone call came.

"Krinnggg!"

"Yes? Kaownah?" Mew wipes his tears and adjusting his voice, not wanting to let Kaownah know that he just cried like a baby or else this friend will tease him to death.

It's Kaownah calling. Kaownah is his only close friend. They work at the same supermarket so sometimes when they work at the same shift, they would talk together, that's how they got close to each other. Kaownah is nice. He loves to tease but in a fun way.

"I can't go out and check on him right now because the store is so busy... 647 baht please... okay, thankyou... But I saw someone on the alley near our supermarket when I dump the trash earlier. I think it's your childhood friend Gulf, you guys are fighting or what?"

!!!

"Oke Kao, I'll be there, thanks!" As soon as he heard the name, Mew've been wanting to hung up the phone and go after the fairy.

"Wait don't hang u--"

This time, Mew run as fast as he can. The speed of lighting won't beat him, because he wants to make sure he gets to Gulf before the lightning can reach him.

"Ssooo collldd..." Gulf is shivering. He is completely drenched out because he wanders alone without any umbrella in this rainy night. He hug himself tightly so it will ease the cold.

"DUAR!!"

"No!" Gulf close both of his ear with his palm. No. Gulf doesn't want to hear the sound again. It's so scary.

Mew...

No! I shouldn't think of Mew. I have to be independent so I wouldn't burden him...

The fairy had a flashback at the time where Mew hug him when he knows he's scared. Mew is so kind. When he knows that Gulf is scared, he does his best to help Gulf with his fear.

"DUAR!" The thunder strikes again harder than before, so Gulf tighten his hug.

Gulf is now sitting down next to a big trashbin next to the supermarket where Mew is working. He decided to sit next to the big dumpster because it will kinda ease his fear knowing that the huge things can cover his body from the lightning.

The actual reason why he's there, near where Mew work is because he wants to see Mew again. He still can't leave Mew behind. Even when Mew doesn't want to see him anymore, he still want to see Mew, he want to be right by his side, he want to make sure Mew is always happy and loved. So for him, it doesn't matter if he can only watch his love from afar. It's more than enough to make sure the love of his life is alive and save.

I'm scared...

Gulf close his eyes so he can't see the thunder. The more he see the rain and the thunder, the more scared he become. He started to cry again. Closing his eyes doesn't work, it makes him way more scared than he already is.

"GULFF!"

That voice??

The owner of the voice kneeling down infront of him. Holding both of his shoulder tight.

"What are you doing sitting next to a trash bin here?! You're so dirty..."

"Mew!"

The hand move to his cheek. Mew is checking Gulf out. It hasn't been even one day since they separated but Gulf is already this messy. Mew is just glad that he found the fairy sooner.

"I'm sorry... Sorry that I didn't go away from you far enough so you can't see me anymore, but--"

"Thankyou... Thankyou for not going too far, so I can found you..." Mew didn't even wait long to hug Gulf. He tighten his grip and bring Gulf closer to his heart.

"Let me go... I'm dirty."

"No... It's okay..."

"B-but how about your thesis? I ruined it..."

Mew let go of the hug for a moment, he positioned himself and he hold the fairy's hand.

"If I lose my thesis file I can write it again from the beginning.

But if I lose you, Gulf... No one can ever replace...

So it's okay, naaa. Please come back to me."

This time, the fairy is very happy, but somehow his eyes doesn't spark glitters like usual.

"Gulf..." Mew stare at Gulf's eyes intensely before he continue, "Do you want to go back home with me?"

"...home?"

"Yes..."

"Uh-hum." The fairy nod, and he burried his face on the man's chest, too shy to look directly at his eyes. While the man just laugh and hug the fairy even closer. He doesn't mind the dirt on him, or the smelly trash bin next to them, for him, the fairy alone is enough to make him full.

They went back home together. Mew gives Gulf a piggyback ride since he knows how the fairy has been wandering everywhere in the rain so he knows how tired he is.

While Gulf is glad that he's on Mew's shoulder & back. When they're on their way home, the thunder strucks one time but it doesn't scare Gulf anymore. Since he know now how Mew will protect him with all of his might.
