Chapter 18 - You're Leaving?

Bright keep on hitting Mew harshly. Mew wanted to fight back but Bright is just on another level. He has a black belt on taekwondo so no wonder a normal musician like Mew couldn't even resist. The student who went out from the class to call the authorities also haven't back yet. While the other student doesn't dare to interrupt since most of them are woman. They are all worried about Mew, since Bright looks like a total psychopath bombarding his prey.

When an opportunity comes, Bright slipped a little and he almost fell, Mew got his opportunity to punch back. But apparently... he didn't do it...

It's not like he can't, but he doesn't want to. Hurting people especially physically is a no no for Mew.

Not long after that, the student who went out came back with a lecturer, stopping the whole fighting leaving Bright and his flawless face, and Mew with his tainted face.

Mew went out from the rector's room with a sluggish fave. Knowing how powerful Bright's family, no need to be surprised that the university only sue him with an apology letter to settle the matter.

"Sigh..."

He glanced on his wrist watch and saw that it's currently 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Mew decided to spent his spare time in the library. Trying to find some more books for his thesis.

In the library, Mew is skimming through a bunch of books, until he found one book that successfully trigger his interest.

'History Of Fairies'

It's quite an old book. Mew smiled knowing that he might understand more of the fairy he loves so much through this book. So he take the book, leaving all the other book behind to read it peacefuly.

All was great, Mew was smiling several times at how accurate the informations on the book is. Such as information that fairy's kisses could chase away nightmares, until he found a new information he never knew, and never wanted to know.

'Once fairy's mission on earth is done, they have to go back to heaven.'

... go... back?

Gulf was happily eating his ice cream while bounching back to Mew's class.

When he arrived, no one was there except for one female student who is staying there because of the cold Air Conditioner that's still working even after the class ended.

"Oh, Gulf! How is Mew?! Is he all right?!" The student asked.

"Huh? What do you mean all right? Where is he anyway?" Still clueless, Gulf licking his ice cream.

"You didn't know? Bright beated him up pretty badly earlier. I think they are on the rector's room now."

The moment he hear Mew was beated up, Gulf dropped his ice cream. He ran out of the class as soon as the student stop talking.

"Hey! You dropped your ice! Where are you going, Gulf?!"

Gulf run everywhere to look for Mew after he couldn't find both Mew and Bright in the rector's office.

Gulf regret it so much. He regret ignoring Bright and Eye's conversations earlier, he left them as soon as Eye hit Bright right in his face for insulting Mew. If he listened to them a bit longer, he probably could avoid all of this from happening.

It's been 20 minutes Gulf running around looking for Mew but he still can't find him. So his tears starred to fall down. He's worried, Mew must be in a lot of pain, and Gulf hates it so much seeing Mew in pain. Mew in pain is the only thing Gulf doesn't want to witness.

When he almost lose his hope, he see a familiar figure, sitting on the campus's park bench with his face facing the ground. Alone. With his face full with wounds.

"Oh no! Mew!"

Gulf run rowards the figure, but even after calling his name, the figure doesn't react nor replying to him.

"Mew, you okay?!"

Gulf touch Mew's head, trying to take a better look on his wound, but Mew brushed his hand aside quickly.

"It's none of your business."

"Huh?"

"I'm fine, I don't need you."

"Mew what are you talking about?"

"Why didn't you say it?"

"Say what?!"

"That you should go back to heaven after you finished your mission!"

Mew shouted. This time is the second for Gulf to hear Mew shout at him after the thesis incident. Even when he made a lot of mess for Mew, Mew have never got angry at him.

"How- how do you know?"

"You asked me not to abandon you but apparently it's you who wanted to abandon me?!"

"No! It's not like that!"

"Then why didn't you tell me? To give me false hope? You made me love you and you want to throw me away just like this?!"

"No! That's not true!"

"Then explain!"

"No, Mew! I'm not going to leave you!"

"How about the mission?!"

"I don't care! Even after you graduate I will stay here with you forever!"

"How could you be so sure?! God will absolutely tell you to go back after I finish my thesis. So what? You're going to fight Him?"

Arguing with Mew like this is definitely the hardest. Gulf couldn't help but sheding some tears. No, he never ever wanted to leave Mew alone. Even if he HAS to go back, he wouldn't do it.

"I will do anything to stay here forever!"

"How bold. What power do you have to fight God, huh? You can't even help me with my thesis."

"Nooo! Mew," He shook his head with eyes full of tears before he continue, "Trust me, I'm not going to go back to heaven!"

Gulf streched out his hand, looking for Mew's hand to be hold. But Mew pull his hand from Gulf, "No, I don't need that. I don't trust you. I'm sorry but let's keep our distance from now on. I don't want to be too attached to you and got hurt when you leave me later."

"Noo!!! Mew, I told you I won't leave you!" Gulf is frustrated. He tried his best to assure Mew that he won't ever be alone again, but he failed. Honestly, Gulf himself haven't think of what he should do after his mission is done, but one thing for sure. What ever happen, he won't leave Mew alone ever again. Even if he has to fight God or anything, he will do it.

His knee couldn't hold it anymore. He fall down to the ground, crying his heart out like a kid who just lost his loved toy. While watching his loved one's back walked away, leaving him alone.
