Chapter 6

We only have thirty minutes to prepare before joining the others. Tonight we are going to the student party next door to fully enjoy our weekend. I like the idea a little, but my hands are still full of anxiety. Am I going to feel good there, on Mara's side, she seems serene and calm while is just the opposite. Too many questions pop up in my head. 

I really need to calm down. I'm going to spoil the evening. I sit in front of the mirror and look at my reflection, noticing my awful mine. I start to wear light makeup, wear a belgian tank top with a black leather jacket and simple ripped while jeans. I smooth my hair briefly. As for Mara, she does makeup, applies blush as well as mascara and wears a white top with a short blue jacket and black jeans. And makes a nice ponytail. 

I receive a message from Julie telling me that they and the boys are waiting for us downstairs. During the walk, the boys tell us the anecdotes of the parties organized by students. I hear more and more loud music, which tells me that we are there soon. We arrive in front of a house of studens, the music on. It feels like in the movie After. Antony, who is older than us, tells us that he is from one of his friends, Teo. It takes us inside, and I suddenly feel imbued with the atmosphere that reigns there. The stress is mounting, but  I think I'm going to have a great evening with my friends ! Teo, comes to us and offers us a glass of lots of volka and little fruit juice, which I really liked. 

That's when I start to look around. There are a lot of people, people dance, others play beer pong, and they all seem to have fun but not much. The room is relatively large, with three sofas in the middle. To the left of the entrance, there is what I guess to be the kitchen, I see boxes of pizza and bottles of alcohol. I sit on a sofa sticking to the wall of a huge staircase that leads to the rooms of the students living here. Antony sits by my side, planting his blue eyes in mine. He laughs out loud while staring at me and I end up saying : But what makes you laugh like that ? No idea, it must be alcohol, he said looking me straight in the eyes. Antony looks at me with a malicious smile and changes the subject. So Kaylee ! How long will you and Mara stay here ? I have no idea how long it will take, I say normally. I have a question for you, he said smiling. Go on, I said curiously. Does Mara have a boyfriend, he said, looking at her. No, ... I don't think you have any views on her, I say, smiling. I like her well, I would like to know her a little, you see, he said, his eyes on her. Yes, I see what you mean, I say mockingly.

 Laura appears next to me and takes my hand, offering to join her to dance. I accept with a shy smile, and Antony joins us as well as Gabriel and Teo. I suddenly try to trust myself and wiggle a bit to the rhythm of the song It Ain't Me by Selena Gomez. After several musics, I stop dancing and tell the others that I'm a little more tired and that I'm going back to campus. But after leaving the living room to have a glass of water at the kitchen and then go there. My eyes end up landing on the table where a game of beer pong is played. I approach and hear one of the boys say to the rest of the team," We are missing a girl and we can start ! " Before I even think about it, the worlds come out of Mara's mouth and say. "Kaylee is voluntary."

But piss off !
