Chapter 28

My father is in front of me, I don't know what to say to him at that time, even before I say Something to him. It costs that awkward silence. I didn't want to come to see ... Before he even finished his sentence that I see my mother appear, and I have tears in my eyes. I missed her so much, I haven't seen her for three years even here we were making video calls it was not the same, face to face. I take her in my arms and hold her tight against me. 

-Mother, I missed you so much. You too my child, I begged your father to take me to see you, life in Casablanca is not the same without you my darling, she said, taking out a few tears. You too without you, my life is not all rosy here even here I have my children who are all for me and my Reason for living, but I missed you terribly, I say before raising my head from his neck. We are interrupted by my father who is obviously still there. When you finish, you join me I'm in the taxi. And he goes away, ignoring me royally. 

I bring my mother into my apartment, which seems to please her a lot. We sit on the sofa and discuss everything and nothing. I bring her the glass of water that she asked me earlier. I show him a photo of Henry and Mia. And she says : They are beautiful, they look so much like you ! You find, I say with a big smile. Yes my daughter, I would like to meet them, said my mother, looking at me. I would like to but they may be at school later. I look at my clock and it is posted 9:30. 

I get up quickly and say : Sorry mother, but I have to go to work or my boss will be very angry. Anyway, I have to go back to the hotel with your father. I'll be back at noon, she said, getting up too. I put on my jacket and we go downstairs. I say Goodbye one last time. I'm rushing to work. Finally I work in a nice art gallery but sommetimes I create my drawings and paintings at home but my boss totally ignores it. 

When I get to my place of work I quickly get to work. After hours of helping my boss with all his files who asked me to file for the last heels exposed here. I have finally finished working and it is also time to pick up the children from school.      

When I arrive at school, I see my babies talking next to the swings, a tall man. I cannot recognize him since I see him just from behind but I seem to know this person. When I come to them, the children come to give me a big hug and say hello. Henry says : Mom, this man says he knows you very well, it's true ! And the man in question turns to us, I instantly freeze when I see Anisse in front of me. And I say : My loves go play a little with your friends, mom comes along. Yes mom, say in heart before walking away. 

When the children leave play next to their friends, I am reassured and turns to Anisse who has a malicious smile. What are you doing here I came to see our children, he said smiling. Are you crazy or what, you know perfectly well that my children are not yours but Miguel's, I get angry. CLOSE IT, NEVER PRONOUNCE ITS NAME BEFORE ME YOU UNDERSTANDED SHELL OF SHIT. He tries to calm down and says with a frightening smile : Listen Kaylee, you'll be mine sooner or later, understand it once and for all. You're really sick, I have never been the property of anyone, so always dream if you think that one day I will be yours, I say, getting angry before I go. I leave to take the children on hearing. 

-THAT IS WHAT WE WILL SEE EARLY OR LATE YOU WILL BE ME KAYLEE, I heard behind me. But he really got sick, if he thinks I am his property he is seriously mistaken on my account, I'm no longer that poor kid who had everything and nothing. Now I'm stronger than before but when I get to the apartment I don't know what tears threaten to run down my face. 

A few minutes later, someone knocks on the door, I open a few seconds and see Miguel in front of me. I don't know what I take him in my arms and hug him tightly. He hugged me tighter and put a hand behind my back to console me.  And said : I will always be for you, never forget it. Thank you, I said, wiping away my tears after dropping it. 

After this soothing moment, I visited her to enter. The children come and give him a hug as a hello. We sit on the sofa and start the conversation. Do you want something to drink. A glass of water thanks you, he said smiling. Okay, I'll take this to you right away, you are probably wondering why I'm so nice to you, I said, going to the kitchen. Yes a little, he said nervously. It's for having comforted me it really did me good, I say, smiling shyly and coming back with the glass of water. 

A few minutes later, Mia comes back and says : Mom, what are we eating today, I'm really hungry. Oh I completely forgot to prepare the meal, my darling patient a few minutes while to prepare ok, I say suddenly rising from the sofa. Ok mom, said Mia as she walks away. Miguel holds me by the arm and says : I can do it for you, you seem a little tired. No it's not a problem, I can do it worry you, I say with a shy smile. No I insist, I want to do it, he said, going to the kitchen. Okay as you wish, I say following him I always feel chills when he is near me and the warmth that always captivates me so much.
