"Your family's reputation fall was not because of us, Isla." Killua's mom defended, "Assassins cannot be weak or show any weakness. But I don't have to tell you that now do I~"

My mother lunged at Kikyo so swiftly I didn't even realize she did until she was already across the field and Kikyo some distance away. They were both so fast and skilled, and Kikyo didn't seem like she wanted to fight. She just kept dodging my mother's attempts to hurt her.

Like Killua said, I left that situation to them until my mother was back to kneeling on the floor, and Kikyo was looking at her again with her breathing pace quickened.

"Why?! Why couldn't you just allow me to win..." A stray tear left my mother's eye. She was actually crying!

"Because of you and your family," She continued, "I had to live like a puppet! I was beaten and couldn't eat or sleep for weeks until they were satisfied with my training all because of that time you embarrassed me in front of both our families! I left home and started a new family of my own so I could finally make you pay! But... I can't even put a scratch on you..."

My mother struggled to get up once more but couldn't stand up straight this time,

"Just kill me already! Make yourself useful and just kill me! I don't have anything to live for anymore..."

Killua's mother just continued to look at her for a while. Nobody else said anything either until Kikyo finally spoke.

"I won't kill you, Isla. Back then is not the same now. As long as you don't mess with my family, I won't try to hurt you."

Kikyo's smile suddenly returned and she became composed again.

"I hope to never see you again~"

I looked at my mother as she looked at me for the last time before she just disappeared along with my father.

"If she comes back, you could handle it right Killua~~?" Killua's mother beamed at him before she left to the direction of her home.

I looked at Killua, "It's finally over right??"

He chuckled a little, "I don't think she'll come back."

The heavy feeling that was there since the start of all this nonsense left me in that moment and I found myself in Killua's arms again. He pat my head with one hand and held me tight with the other.

"I won't become an assassin. Let's just go back to the way we were with the others and forget about this."

I held him tighter,

"You've read my mind as usual." I kissed his cheek.

As if on cue, Gon, Kurapika and Leorio appeared in the distance with Gon waving madly in our direction. I found myself smiling widely once again.

Gon was the first to reach Killua and my side.

"We saw Killua's mom come back, is it finally over?"

"We're hoping it is." I reassured Gon with a sincere smile.

The others eventually caught up with us.

Kurapika laughed, "So... are we going to leave this place or not?"

I playfully put my hands around Gon and Kurapika's neck, since Leorio was way too tall, and we began to walk toward the 7 gates, the exit. "Let's never come back."

"Okay story finished now it's bed time."

"But Daddyyyyy we're not tired yet!" Our twins, Kirstal and Kai, begged. I look on in the doorway as Killua tries to put our 4 year olds to bed. It's always so adorable looking at how he handles our children at bed time.

"Alright... let's ask Mommy if we can stay up a bit more."

Suddenly all eyes are on me. I can't help but laugh at how he managed to turn this on me.

"No no no Daddy you decide."

Killua suddenly looked at me with an eyebrow raised, "Daddy?"

He got up from his kneeled position at the twin's side and makes his way toward me. He wraps his arms around my waist and places a long kiss on my lips. I lightly push him off,

"Killua! The children!" I laugh into his chest.

"What about them?" He grins.

"They. Are. Looking!"

"I'll put them to bed quickly."

He walks over to the twins who were clearly looking at what Killua and I were doing intently. He tucks them in and kisses them both on the forehead.

"Mommy and I have a little business together my little assassins. We'll stay up tomorrow." He winks at the twins and picks me up so my legs are wrapped around him as he closes the door to the kids' room.
