Chapter 21

(Y/n)'s family is here!?... Already?? But we don't have a plan!...

I could feel slight panic slowly creeping up on me, but I quickly pushed it away because I wasn't one to panic. If I wanted this fight to end, I needed to come up with a plan which required a clear mind. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

Think Killua think...

~(Y/n)'s POV~

My family?? What the heck are they doing here??

I looked over to Killua's family but I was a little surprised to see them a little unsettled. They seemed like a quiet bunch.

I looked out the window to spot the distance between my family and me. They were a decent way off so I came up with a plan on the spot. I told Gon and the gang to stay near the house while I leave to talk to my parents. They all agreed, except for Killua.

"I'm coming with you, (y/n)..."

I looked up at him.

"Are you sure that's a good idea?"

"I don't trust your family with you... I'm coming too. And besides," he looked me in my eyes and smirked, "I think I have an idea."

I saw Killua go and whisper something to his mother before we both made our way to the exit of Killua's household, towards the direction of my family. The closer we got, the more scared I became and I think Killua noticed because a grabbed my hand reassuringly.

"The fight will end. Let's be patient"

I nodded, feeling a little better knowing I had Killua's protection and backing.

As soon as my family saw me, they all stopped in their tracks.

"(Y/n)!" My mother called smiling that fake, disgusting smile as she led the bunch, "I missed you so much!"

I scoffed.

"Why are you here mother?!"

Her smile didn't fade.

"I came to get you back dear! What mother would I be if I left you at the hands of these animals!"

Her facade has got to stop... I've had it!

"I'd rather be here with these "animals" than be with you and your demons mother!! I don't care what you do anymore as long as you don't touch these people!!" I stood in front of Killua protectively.

Her smile immediately receded again. But this time it didn't faze me.

"So..." She began, "You're saying you're not a part of this family anymore?"

I remained quiet, because if I said anything, I knew I would have caused drama that could've been avoided.

"Come over here right now (y/n) and we might overthink killing you too."

My legs trembled so much it felt like they would give way... They would kill me???

My heart was throbbing in my chest so much that it was accompanied my chest pains. My eyes began to water and spilled down my face. When my mother saw this, she was very amused...

"You're weak (y/n). You wouldn't last long against us. If you want to live, come here and stand next to me."

My legs weren't moving and time was passing. Killua remained at my side observing everything, ensuring my mother got the memo about the importance of my protection, while my mother grew more and more impatient...

"(Y/n) if you don't want to end up dead like your wretched parents get over here right now!"

....What???

"What are you talking about mother..."

Her eyes grew wide for a moment like she didn't mean to blurt that out, but then returned to their normal state quickly.

"I am not entitled to telling you anything (y/n)."

"TELL ME WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!!" My heart rate suddenly spiked again. I was furious!

She smiled,

"You could never be my biological daughter. You're worthless and disloyal! I would have killed you in a heartbeat if I had given birth to you, child."

My sadness turned into anger and uncontrollable rage. Then, suddenly, I was lunging at her, hoping to aim directly at her throat and end her life. But Killua held me back just before I could do anything. I tried my hardest to wiggle out of his grasp... but to no avail. I wanted to kill her for what she did to me! She scarred me! My childhood... ruined because of her and she wasn't even my real mother?! And she still had the guts to tell me she KILLED my real parents?!!!

But before I could take things further, a voice came from a few feet behind me. I could tell it was Killua's mother.

"Ah~ I see you've come to pay me a visit, Isla" She smiled.

"Isla"?... Was that her name? Do they know one another??

My 'mother' was then filled with rage I had never seen before in my life,

"I WILL kill you Kikyo!! I spent my life and preparing for this moment!!"

Killua's mom just smiled sweetly in reply,

"You'll always be the lesser level assassin~."
