"Their getting married?"

I nodded. I was at Hannah's house. It was Friday night. We were hanging out on her bed eating popcorn and talking.

"I hate him already. Now I have to deal with him for the rest of my life."

Hannah frowned. "Yeah. That really sucks."

I nodded. The thought of him being my step dad was sickening.

"Do you wanna do something else?" Hannah asked.

I nodded.

Hannah grabbed her Xbox controller and we decided to turn on just dance. We danced around like crazy and by the end of it, we were a sweaty mess.

When we were done, both of us decided we needed a shower. I grabbed my clothes and headed into one of the bathrooms. After I showered. I changed into one of my dad's tank tops and shorts. I brushed my hair and then headed back into Hannah's room.

We stayed up until 5am, talking and watching Netflix. We woke up at 1pm to her mom telling us to get up. We ate pancakes and by the time we were done, mom was there to pick me up.

"See you soon Hannah."

"Bye Sam."

We hugged and I followed mom to the car. Of course Matt was with her.

I got in the back and didn't say a word. The drive was quiet and when we got home, I rushed up stairs and unlock the door.

The rest of the afternoon was relaxing until around 6.

"SAM." I heard my mom call.

I got up and walked out into the living room.

"Get us some food."

Mom and Matt were completely stoned. I rolled my eyes but went to the kitchen. As I was getting the snacks, Matt walked in.

"Stop being a little bitch. I saw what you did."

I tried to ignore him but he slammed a glass on a the counter and it broken into a million pieces.

"Do I make myself clear?"

I nodded.

"What?"

"Yes."

"Clean this up." He walked out with the snacks.

I grabbed the broom and dust pan and started to clean up the glass. I had tears streaming down my face but I stayed quiet.

Thank God I was going to Dad's the next day. After cleaning the mess up, I went to my room and decided to draw. My drawings lately have been depressing but that's how I feel. (Picture at the top.)

After drawing for awhile, I took a shower and then I read before falling asleep.

I woke up to arguing. I grabbed my phone and earbuds, turning the volume up high so I didn't have to listen to it. After texting my dad good morning, I made my way to the bathroom.

After I washed my face and brushed my teeth, I went out into the kitchen to get coffee.

I felt heavy footsteps behind me and the door slammed. I looked over my shoulder and saw mom crying. I took my earbuds out.

"What going on?" I asked.

Mom shook her head. "It's nothing, but Matt needed to take the car. You need to find a way to Dad's.

I nodded and watched her walk back into her room. I picked my phone up and went to my contacts and clicked Calum's contact.

After a few rings, he answered.
