I woke up screaming after having a nightmare. I was sweating and shaking. I heard footsteps and dad pushed my door open.

"Sammie, baby. What happened?"

He made his way over to my bed. I was crying and shaking. He sat down and pulled me to his chest.

"Shhhh, it was just a dream baby. It's not real."

But it was real. It was Matt smashing glasses and throwing things at me.

"Can I sleep with you?"

Dad nodded. "Of course baby."

He helped me up and led me to his room. I laid down on one side and he crawled on the other. He pulled me to his chest and kissed my forehead.

"Do you want me to turn on friends?"

I nodded. Dad grabbed the remote and turned the TV on, clicking on friends. I watched a couple episodes before my eyes felt heavy and I fell back asleep.

I woke up the next morning to Dad's alarm going off. He groaned but rolled over and hit snooze. I opened my eyes and saw dad look at me.

"Calum's off today. Do you wanna stay home today?"

I nodded. I was still really tired. Dad nodded. He kissed my forehead and got up to get ready. I heard him go into Calum's room to talk before he came back to say goodbye.

"Alright baby. See you tonight. Love you."

"Love you too."

He kissed my cheek and made his way out to head to work. I closed my eyes and fell back asleep.

I woke up a couple hours later to the smell of cooking. I looked at the clock to see it was 9:30am. I rubbed my eyes and then got up. I grabbed my purple robe and made my way downstairs.

Nickelback was playing and I could hear Calum humming along to the song. I made my way into the kitchen and was greeted with Duke. Calum looked over his shoulder and smiled.

"Morning Princess. I'm making pancakes."

I nodded and smiled. Sitting down at the table to wait. Duke jumped on my lap and sat with me until breakfast was ready. Calum set down eggs and pancakes. He gave me an orange juice and then sat down himself.

After we eat, I helped clean up and then I brushed my teeth and washed my face. After brushing my hair, I changed into a 1975 shirt with black leggings. I started some school and worked until Calum asked me if I wanted to go on a walk.

It was nice out. The sun was shining and it was just a little windy. We took Duke to the park so he could run around and get some exercise. We brought a ball with us that Duke chased after when we threw it. We spent a good amount of time at the park before deciding to go back to the house.

I did some more school and then we had lunch. After that, we watched movies and ate ice cream. I fell asleep and was woken up for dinner.

That night, I fell asleep pretty fast but woke up multiple times. Even in dad's bed, I was having nightmares. They were intense and scary. Dad was concerned. I wouldn't talk about them.

The next day, I was going to work with Dad. He had talked to Luke the day before. He didn't know that I knew this. I ease dropped on his conversation.

"See you later baby." Dad said.

I nodded and he headed out. It was quiet until I heard a knock on the door and Luke came in.

"Hey Sam."

We walked to his office and I sat down on the couch.

"So, dad said your having nightmares lately."

I nodded. "Yeah."

He nodded. "Do they feel real?"

They are real.

I nodded. "Yeah."

He nodded. "Can you tell me if you can remember what their about?"

I played with my hands and looked down at my hands. Was I going to tell him the truth.

"Sam, honey. If you want me to help you. I need you to talk to me."

I nodded.

"Can you tell me what the nightmares are about?" Luke repeated.

I sighed and nodded.

"There about Matt."
