I'LL SMILE AGAIN

CHAPTER 7

The next few days rolled by quickly, with me following the  routine of waking up, dressing hastily for school, talk to over breakfast mum, running off to school, a little chit chat with Jenny then meeting  up with Greg at the parking lot, going to work together, have dinner at my house and then head out for a walk on the beach. Greg has become a regular  at our dinning table and it's surprising how he and mum got along quickly that he even helps her in the kitchen when he get home early.  Mummy would say sweetly "Gregory Isaac, you don't have to do this" Mum has a weird way of calling everyone by their full names. "It's My pleasure Nora" Greg would smile. I overheard them talking about their taste in music and I can't help but fall hopelessly in love with him.

We were walking as usual on the beach when Greg asked me a question I've always wanted to ask him but I didn't because I don't want to seem too pushy or desperate. He says softly. "So Bella which of the colleges did you apply for"  I answer quickly "Standford University" he hugged me tightly and he says "Oh I see we going to Carlifornia together" "I applied for Stanford too" he continued and we talked about our dreams he wants to study law while i want to be  a nurse. I'm happy we would go to the same School. Greg asked me to be in his life, although I'm a little disappointed he didn't say he love me he says he cared deeply for me and he's at peace and happy when he's with me, I'm a little disappointed but we happy together that's all that matters. We sealed the beginning of our love story with him kissing me on my forehead and we both smiled contentedly as we walk towards the car.

Prom came and mum helped me get ready, she styled my hair in a curly wave and let it fall to my back, she helped me apply some mascara and a pink lipstick on my lips knowing mum the fashionista she highlights my cheek bone and my nose and when she stepped back to admire her handwork, she can't help but get teary she cooed "you such a beauty queen my baby". Her eyes were dreamy as she said "I can't believe it's close to 17years since I held you so close to my heart, your were so tiny and beautiful". "Mum I need to go Greg is waiting downstairs" I said looking at her lovingly. "Be safe and have fun baby" she called after me
"To the moon and back mummy" I replied as I went to join Greg downstairs.

The young man I met sitting on the couch is so handsome and had me drooling, he felt my stare on him and stood up to face me, we were both speechless as we stared at each other, home is wherever you are I thought to myself, oh how much I love this boy.
"Y_you are beautiful" he whispered I just nodded and before I knew it he closed the space between us and we kissed as if both of our lives depends on it. "Jeeez, he whistled" taking a break to breathe before kissing me again "you are looking so hot too" I said finally finding my voice.

We drove to school listening to Johnny Drille's count on you.

"I wanna grow old by your side all my day and all my night, I got a rocking chair for two let's start a future you and me, all my life I've been waiting to feel like I do now...." We both sang along and he reached and held one of my hands letting go only if he wants to change the gear. And we drove into the beginning of a beautiful life together...
