The hot Africans plain made me pant as I slowly walked to the watering hole I go to everyday and grew to remember where it was for the past 16 years . I'm echo and I'm a snowy white tiger . In Africa ? Yep don't know what mom did but I'm glad I'm Ina warm place than a cold place . I sat down slowly looking around for lions or cheethas and hell never mess with them unless its for a price of meat or territory . I sat there drinking quietly in the silent underbrush of the water hole . I watched the water carefully for gators and crodiles. They were danger in every possible . I the heard a snap of a branch and saw a full grown male lion . I didn't bother looking up , and he didn't mind me . This is the only time I think we don't try to kill each other . This male was the biggest I have seen . I'm small compared to him but I have better paw cordnation and direction than him. I knew that on a fact . he had lost a tooth from a fight o heard about about ..3 years ago . I tucked my tail in close to me ,and continued drinking till I was satisfied . The male lion known as Tike grunted at me but I didn't answer his mock . I didn't want to fight . I quickly trotted to a tree and extracted my 4 inch long curved claws to grab the sides mof the tree and lay on a branch that I have claimed for years . I watched lazily as all the different animals crowded in the late afternoon . some prey and some predators . But all was peaceful until we heard the shot of a gun . Everyone knew what that meant . Killer in the brush . I tensed . I had no clue if I should run or stay my ground . this is my tree and I'll defend it . But as soon as Tike growled animals were fleeing and he was trotting away . I knew something was up so I stayed quiet and saw multiple humans walk out . one with a weird thing in its hands , another fanning it self , and the last looking around like a baby cub for the first time . I narrowed my eyes and watched . suddenly one gasped I tensed hut remained quiet .

" look! A white tiger ! How remarkable !" The voice said . I looked at it . it had no fur and the paws were long fingers like monkeys . I'll call them monkeys .

But this one had no fur on its head and the others do .. Maybe this on has more years in its bones . I laid my head on my paws and watched them not feeling threatened even though I had heard a gun shot .

" papa! Stop it's a wild animal!" Higher pitch voice said with long lighter fur on its head . I shot my eyes toward it . I think that maybe a girl . The last has cocked the gun at me. I tensed and growled .

" put that down ! Are you mental ! Leave him!" The higher female said grabbing the gun . The bigger one had looked at me and I growled again and heard tiny snips and looked down to find the older one looking at me through a box . I wanna smell them closer because they smell human but I smelled something tangy and sweet but it came from non of them . I licked my hot muzzle .

" he is quiet adorable no?" The female said rubbing her fur . I lifted my head and saw movement behind them .

" He is a beast and could kill you ." the bigger male said with short fur on his head that was a darker color . not very intimidating when the male has no gun . Just a easy kill .

I yawned and licked my teeth and decided I was gonna smell them . I stretched on my branch and jumped down with ease . I slowly walked up to them sniffing the elder first . he was very still like dead food . I licked his weird thing in his hand and it was hard . maybe there was good in it . I grabbed it and began chewing on it. But nothing came out I dropped it and notice they weren't speaking their tounge anymore . I went to the female and Nuzzled her paws . she hesitantly scratched behind my ears making me wanna play with her paws who knew that it felt nice .

I purred at the touched and felt lazy . she went to remove her paw bit I caught it in my mouth and gentally pulled her down next to me . I liked her . She was nice . But the male was having none of it he grabbed a branch to protect himself . I purred and watched as he tried rid me away . I tilted my head .

" look .. He is kind .. Maybe he likes people?" The female said .

" Yeah to eat and kill ."

I don't always kill .I already had a meal three hours ago . I turned to my belly and licked her furless paw . then i saw the male pick the gun up I quickly turned to my feet and growled and stood in front of the girl . he could kill the female and he would have no mate .

" Jim put the gun down your making him aggressive . " the female said with fear lacing her actions . I stood there staring intently on the male and the gun . once he did I turned the female and licked her and the elder . the male came towards me , but he had no gun I had no reason to bite him or hurt him so I key him touch me . Then suddenly some thing jumped put of the bushes causing me to jump away from the humans . I saw another male with longer hair and red bumps in the makes face . his actions showed me annoyed and aggervated . never fight qithba aggervated animal . I backed away . but the female held her hand to me .

" please come back whity .." She said .
My name is echo .

But they don't need to know . the male stood frozen staring at me . I wondered if he spoke their tounge .

" he is tame ?" He spoke . His voice was soft and soothing . I immeasotly walked up to the male and licked his hand . then I heard a close range gunshot the bigger male had the gun . I growled and sprinted . I ran away from the humans .

" well there a goes a beautiful animal!" The female said .

I'm not the animal you are

I'll follow them to their territory to find out how they live in the wild . So I waited and followed . I guess stalking not potentional kill .
