Your brother had asked you if you thought you were ready.
The answer was no, you didn't think you were ready.
You doubted anyone could ever be ready for moments like these. While one can be prepared, how do you know when you are truly prepared?
You certainly were unsure if you were.
Whether or not you were prepared, it didn't matter. The time was now. You had been waiting for this opportunity for as long as you could remember, and it was now or never. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity, you had to do it now; you had to be prepared now.

"You're so sappy," Katsuki groaned, looking away. You knew he liked any compliments you gave him, he always wanted nothing more than to protect you.
"Well, you're a prick," I giggled, punching him in the arm as we walked towards the school's entrance. The punch caused you to stumble back every so slightly, bumping into someone.
Shocked, you turned around to find a green-haired boy just inches from impacting with the ground. In a panic, you used your quirk to soften the impact. "I'M SO SORRY!" you yelped, feeling embarrassed.
He looked up at you, an adorably panicked look on his rather red face. His smile was cute and innocent looking, he had round cheeks, adorable freckles, and beautiful, emerald-green eyes. You stopped, your jaw suddenly going slack.
'Midoriya?'
"YOU'RE SORRY? I'M SO SORRY FOR RUNNING INTO YOU!" he yelled, still on the ground.
You giggled at him, offering him your hand. "Silly, it's my fault. Now, let me help you up," you spoke gently, feeling your brother about ready to explode behind you. To neutralize him, you kicked his shin.
Katsuki crouched, trying to ease the pain in his leg.
The boy nodded his head, grabbing your hand and letting you pull him up off the ground. Having some fun, you pulled him up rather hard, him almost impacting with you.
"Thank you," he mumbled, his face becoming an even brighter red.
You smiled, nodding silently. Once your brother was ready, he stood up and both of you began walking away together. You recognized that shocked look on the boy's face when he saw Katsuki pop up from behind you. It was him, the boy from one of the greatest days of your life.
The expression was exactly the same, he even had his hands balled up into fists. His eyes held fire, while the rest of him quaked in fear.
"It was nice seeing you again, Midoriya," you gently spoke.
"THAT'S IT, WE'RE GOING! No need to waste your time, (Y/n), he'll just get in your way," Katsuki growled.
You hated that, the way he talked sometimes. "Shut up, stop being a jerk," you growled, crossing your arms as you walked ahead of him and towards the UA building.

"What's up, UA candidates? Thanks for tunin' into me, your school DJ! C'mon, and let me hear ya'!" Present Mic, the voice hero, cheered as he stood on a stage at the front of the auditorium all the examinees were placed in. Behind him was a large screen with the words "UA" on it.
Not much to your surprise, the auditorium stayed dead silent.
"Keepin' it mellow, huh? That's fine, I'll skip straight to the main show. Let's talk about how this practical exam in gonna go down, okay? ARE YOU READY?" Present Mic continued to cheer, hoping to hype up the examinees; much to his disliking, it didn't work. So, he responded to his own question. "Yeah!" he said in a bit of a raspy voice.
The audience members were meant to be organized by school, so you sat beside Izuku; Bakugou sitting on the other side of him. Of course, Izuku started mumbling. So much for trying to separate the two boys.
"Will you shut up?" Bakugo asked, knowing fully well that you too wished he would just think in his head.
"As your application said, today you rockin' boys and girls will be out there conducting ten-minute mock battles in super hip urban settings! After I drop the mic here, you will head to your specified examination center," Present Mic spoke, pausing to let everyone look at the examination center letter on their card.
Exam Ticket
Examinee No.: 2235
Test Location: Battle Center C
You could hear the beginnings of an argument between the two boys, so you decided to speak up. "Shut up, both you!" you whispered.
The rules of the practical exam were simple:
1) Defeat the three different types of faux villains with points assigned to it to raise your score
2) No attacking other examinees
There was one faux villain with no points assigned to it in each center, so you made a mental note to avoid it.
Everything felt like it was moving too fast, it almost made you dizzy.
You grabbed a water bottle, pulling it out of your bag before taking a sip, using the water to settle yourself.
'F*ck.'
I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! I hope you all have an amazing night/day! I love you all! Byyyyeeee!
