"That fucking nerd..." Bakugou lowly growled, clenching his fist before finishing up the rest of the physical examinations.

4. (Y/n) Bakugou

3. Katsuki Bakugou

You hissed through your teeth, realizing that you definitely had fucked up. It was too high of a ranking, it made you too noticeable. Sure, you wanted to do good and genuinely try, but it was too high. Next time, you'd do better... technically worse.

"Don't tell Mom," you whispered to Katsuki, just hoping that the rest of your classmates would brush you under the rug.

"I won't," he curtly responded, obviously not in the best of moods.

Above your name stood the student in first place, Shoto Todoroki.

'Isn't that the guy who sits next to me? That's pretty cool.'

You scanned your eyes down the list, taking in the names of students in your class.

The round faced girl that sits on the other side of you, Uraraka, placed tenth, which was quite impressive.

You continued scanning your eyes down the list, realizing you didn't see Midoriya's name... until you reached twentieth place.

'No, he can't leave! He obviously has a strong quirk and just needs someone to guide him, he has potential! Honestly, no good teacher would expel him in this moment.'

"And I was lying, no one is going home," your teacher spoke, his voice cutting through the silence, "that was just to ensure that you gave it your all in the tests."

'I knew it!'

"I'm surprised that he rest of you didn't figure that out. I'm sorry, I guess I probably should've said something," a pretty black haired girl with her hair in a spiky ponytail commented.

"Honestly, what good teacher wouldn't see potential in a student," you added, turning a small item in your into a spherical lollipop before placing it into your mouth.

Your class seemed fairly upset that the information wasn't shared, even Katsuki furrowed his brows at you. In response, you simply shrugged. Why didn't any else at least question it?

"That's it, we're done for today. Pick up a syllabus in the classroom, reading that is your homework for tonight," Aizawa tiredly mentioned, not interested enough to face the class as he spoke, "Training starts tomorrow."

You had made it through the first day, both you and your brother were fighting yourselves mentally.

Katsuki was enraged, why had Midoriya hid his quirk all this time? Why did he lie? Did everyone know and just teased Katsuki behind his back?

While you were worried about Katsuki and confused about Midoriya, it wasn't the first thing on your mind.

You wanted to be good, you wanted to be the best! You wanted to do as good as you could and still push yourself to do better, but you worried for your moms rules.

It's not fair, everyone else was lucky enough to just work as hard as they can without worrying about doing too well.

You weren't sure how to approach this conflict, deciding to just go with what felt right.

"Hey, (Y/n)!" Midoriya yelled to you as you got ready to walk out of the class, infuriating Katsuki, who was fuming behind you.

"Hey, I'm glad you're still part of our class!" you told him with a smile as you leaned against your desk.

"Ah, th-thanks! I- uh... congrats on f-fourth place!" he cheered, his face turning red rather quickly as he stuttered.

You giggled, throwing your bag over your shoulder. "Do you wanna ride on the train together later?"

"NO!" Katsuki yelled, absolutely enraged.

You normally would've been mad, but you felt some sympathy for Katsuki. You didn't know where his mind was, but you honestly didn't believe it was a rather pleasant place.

"Well, never mind then," you sighed, "I'll see you next period then, Deku." You winked at Midoriya, turning around to check on your brother.

Your brother was furious, but your eye immediately landed on someone else. The beautiful two toned boy that placed first in the class, Shoto Todoroki.

He was staring right at you, his face expressionless. He just stared at you, almost as if he were examining your soul with just his gaze.

It was quite intimidating, almost triggering your fight or flight response. Of course, being raised around Katsuki, your response was fight. So, you stared right back at him.

He didn't look away, instead looking you in the eye.

It was very odd and extremely intimidating.

"Let's go," you mumbled your your brother, your eye contact with Todoroki not breaking until you were ready to turn away.

You won. You didn't know what you won, but you won.

Your classes were rather bland, jumping straight into the curriculum. You ate lunch with Katsuki, five students you learned to be named Kirishima, Ashido, Yoayorozu, Kaminari, and Jiro sitting beside you.

Kirishima always had a very warm expression, with red spiky hair that reminded you of the hero, Crimson Riot.

Ashido was very cute, she had pink skin, pink hair, two yellow horns, yellow eyes, and a black sclera rather than a white one (that's the whites of the eyes). She was loud and talked a lot, but you found it very comforting.

Yoayorozu had black hair that she kept in a high ponytail. She had somewhat of a heart-shaped face and almost black pupils. From what you could tell, she was very intelligent, but fairly shy.

Kaminari had yellow hair with a black lighting-bolt on his fringe that stayed to the sides of his face. His hair was rather messy, going somewhat all over the place, but he was generally attractive. His eyes were yellow, which was rather pretty. He proved to be quite a flirt, but seeming to focus his attentions on one girl in the table, Jiro.

Jiro had short, almost black, purple hair that went down to her chin. In front of her face, she had asymmetrical bangs and two longer chunks of hair that framed her face. She didn't seem very interested in Kaminari's advances, but you found their dynamic interesting despite it being the first day.

Only one class was truly worth noting, Hero Basic Training, taught by All Might.

You found it interesting that his identity was pretty much a secret. He was over seven feet tall, there was no way he couldn't have been figured out. Sure, people have quirks that make them tall, but his features were just so noticeable it felt impossible.

Either he always played the role of All Might, never stepping away from work (which you doubted), or he had some way to look considerably different.

"I. AM. HERE!" A booking voice yelled, directing your attention to the large man holding onto the door frame and leaning into the classroom, "Coming through the door like a hero!"

Your mouth curled into a grin, excited for the rest of the class.

Happy 2021 :) I hope you're all healthy and safe! Sorry I haven't been updating much, but I hope you all have a wonderful night/day and I love you all so much! Byyyyyeeeeee!
