Void [Nightmare X Reader]

She was horrified and she did nothing about it.
She observed how much Dream was struggling.

Dream was having trouble against his brother. He didn't want to fight him but all Nightmare was doing was attacking.

He did his best but ended up on the floor before his brother.

He couldn't just lets everyone's hopes and dreams die. The last golden apple of positive feelings became a part of him.

Nightmare was outraged. The last apple was in his brother. His attacks were more violent.

He was struck by an idea. What better why to make someone suffer is too make watch everyone they are protecting suffer.

He cast Dream in a prison of stone.

Y/n watched dream turn to stone. She couldn't stand it. She could run away or do something.

She went to confront Nightmare.

"Nightmare... Why?" Y/n asked.

"Why?" A voice said. He recognized it. The voice he despised to hear now.

"Where were you when i needed you." Nightmare shouted.

A fight had begun between the two.

Y/n had a terrified expression but it soon changed to one of determination.
Nightmare smirked sadisticly. Y/n's first thought was summon something to protect her.  She was given a sword.

As much as she didn't want to hurt him it was going to happen. It was inevitable.

" I would never think I would have to fight especially my best friend." Y/n stared at Nightmare intently.

This only angered Nightmare. He fought unmercilessly. Every attack have filled with hate.

Y/n did her best to dodge. The only thing that had been damaged by Nightmare was her cloak.

She attacked him and was distraught seeing how he just came back together. But it still had his blood.

Nightmare hissed and notices Y/n was distracted. He took this opportunity to land a blow on her.

Her health was poor.

She was on the ground. White blood spilled on the floor.

Y/n looked up at Nightmare full of some sort of hope, "Nighty. I know you can good good if you try. I believe in you."

Those e/c eyes were a burning image.

Nightmare felt bad. He wasn't sure why but he decided to give her a bit of mercy.
This mercy was in the same form as what fate his brother gotten.
Not stone though. Crystal.

Y/n hoped that her message had gotten to the tar like covered skeleton.

She felt a sensation.

She looked down and saw a crystal shell forming on her. She couldn't move.

It didn't take long for her to crystalize and soon that was all she was a crystal statue un able to move.

Nightnare watched as the guardian crystalized. It was a beautiful enclosure compares to Dream's.

It was done. There was no blockages.

Nightmare destroyed everything. Nothing was left except Y/n and Dream. Even the tree of feelings was no more.

Dreamtale could and would never be the same.

The stone and crystal cages were temporary. This irked Nightmare to his core.

He would have to face them both again but the next time he would be different.

500 years. 500 years is what it will take. For the prisons to be weak enough for Y/n and Dream to break through.

The sun shines on the two statues waiting for thier return. Thier fate is set in stone and crystal.
