Lauren
“Ok Chris, you get the best job in the world. You get to point a camera at your beautiful girlfriend, and stare at her for the next few hours.” Christina said as she handed him one of the cameras.
“You do know how to use that right?” Lisa asked him curiously.
“Please, I was obsessed with this stuff back in high school. I wanted to be a filmmaker one day.” Chris said to her with a boyish grin on his face.
“Obsessed?” Lisa asked.
“Let’s put it this way Lisa, most of the other guys had girlfriends. I had my camera.” He replied.
“And that’s not creepy at all.” I said, patting him on the shoulder as I walked by him. “Come on, you’re with me and Amy doing our performance shots.”
“Yes ma’am.” Chris said, following me. We walked over to the area where Christina wanted us doing our shots. There were a few trees around and a couple benches but not much else.
“Ready?” I asked Chris.
“Yeah,” He replied, looking around the area. “Lauren you’re up first, why don’t you go stand by that tree over there?”
“Mmk,” I said, walking over to where he pointed, “Here?”
“Yup, perfect.” Chris said as he fiddled with the camera. Amy whispered something in his ear and he just nodded in agreement before turning back to me. “Ok Laur, ready?”
“Yeah,” I said, smiling and rocking on my heels. Chris gestured to Amy and she started the music. I started singing along and did my best to ignore Amy’s faces as she danced around behind Chris. When we finished the first take, I just burst out laughing.
“What is it?” Chris asked me confused. I was laughing too hard to speak, so I just pointed behind him. He turned around and caught Amy in the middle of making a kissy face. She paused and looked at him awkwardly before they both started laughing. A moment later I finally remembered what we were supposed to be doing and walked over to him.
“So we get everything we need?” I asked him.
“See for yourself,” he replied, handing me the memory card out of the camera. I took it from his hand and walked over to the laptop Amy was playing the music from. While I was looking at the video, Chris and Amy started talking about something that caused both of them to start laughing again. I ignored them and started watching the videos.
“Wow, so where in the Marines did they teach you how to work a camera?” I asked in in awe.
“High school, and having no life taught me how to use a camera.” He replied.
“Well, you have a promising career as a cameraman now.” I said earnestly.
“Thanks Lauren, Amy you wanna go?” Chris asked.
“Can we take a break?” Amy asked, sounding tired and bored.
“Sure,” Chris replied, getting up and ruffling her hair and walking over to me.
“You were perfect,” He whispered in my ear, which caused me to blush.
“Lauren, you’re as red as my dress.” Amy said flatly when I went to sit by her. I just buried my face in her lap in embarrassment.
“Nothing to be ashamed of Lauren, I love it when you blush.” Chris said, rubbing his hand on my back.
Amy
“Ok guys, I gotta ask. What is this?” I asked, pushing Lauren out of my lap gently.
