Chapter 13 - Sunday Night Date Night

Amy

“Hey Amy? Your date with Elijah’s tonight right?” Lauren asked me.

“Yeah, why?”

“Can I come? It’d be nice to have an actual date with Chris before he has to leave.”

“Normally I’d say yes, but since him and Lisa both seem to think that Elijah likes me, and that I like him, I’m forcing both of them to go. Maybe they’ll be nice to each other for once.” I replied.

“Oh ok, and they love each other, even if the won’t admit it. Lisa’s like his sister.”

“Funny they don’t act like it, they did have a moment yesterday though.” I said, shrugging.

“Ha, yeah I’m just glad I met him first or he might have gone for Lisa instead.”

“Don’t be silly, he loves you.”

“Yeah I know, but …”

“No buts. Lauren, he’s known you for what? A few weeks at most? I have never seen somebody fall so completely in love in such a short time. Trust me, even if he met Lisa first instead of bumping into you that day, he would’ve still fallen for you.”

“Ok,” She said smiling.

“Hey Lauren, can I tell you something?”

“Sure, what is it?” She asked.

“Chris loves you, it’s obvious that he does. Before you kissed him, you still weren’t sure exactly what it was you felt for him. Now I heard about what happened at his house the other day, and I know nothing happened, but before anything does, just make sure you feel the same way.”

“I know. Amy, I love him but most of this is all new to me. Part of me wants to jump in head first. Sometimes he has to remind me I’m not ready for that yet.” Lauren replied.

“At least he knows that and actually cares. If you do need to talk to someone, you have us.” I said, smiling at her.

“Thanks.” Lauren said with a soft smile. “Oh, and have fun tonight.” She said before she left the room.

Lisa

“Lisa hurry up, I have to get ready.” Amy whined from the other side of the door.

“Hold on, I’m almost done.” I said, finishing up my make-up and walking out of the bathroom.

“About time, it’s not even your date and Chris is with Lauren. You could go in your pajamas if you want.” Amy said.

“Well yeah but ya know,” I said, looking down at the floor and swaying.

“If they get here, tell them I’m still getting ready.” Amy said

“Ok,” I said, walking down the stair and waiting in the  living room for either Amy or the guys to show up. After I had been down there a few minutes I heard the doorbell ring and walked over to answer it. When I opened the door, Chris and Elijah were both standing there in suits, bouquets of flowers in their hands.

“Hey guys, Amy’s still getting ready. Chris, Lauren is upstairs if you wanna give those to her.” I said, letting them in.

“Actually, these are for you. You look beautiful tonight by the way.” Chris said, handing me the flowers and giving me a quick hug.

“Hmm, flowers and compliments. Keep it up and I might actually start to think you like me. You get your actual girlfriend anything?” I said, a goofy smile on my face.
