Chapter 21 ~ Surprise!

Naomi Pov*

"I'm not your mom I don't have any kids" lady 1 said.

"Mom I know that's you what are you doing" Nick said.

"Look lil boy she ain't yo momma" lady 2 said.

"Auntie Kim? Yoo what's wrong with y'all" Nick said.

"You don't know u-"

"Fuck it Kim he know" lady 1 said.

They both took off their mask. Lady 1 is the lady we met at walmart when Nick introduced us to his mom, Ms. Brooke Johnson. But the other lady I didn't recognize.

"Brooke" my mom said confused.

"Yess bestie it's me. Surprise" Brooke said smiling.

"Why are you doing this" mom said.

"Soon enough "bestfriend" you'll find out but first Kim pat them down before we get started" Brooke said pointing the gun at dad, Lamar, and Nick.

Kim pat them down and found a gun in my dad's pants and put it on the table next to mom.

"Great now one by one you will grab a chair and pull it over here. Try anything stupid and I'll shoot Venessa or one of the kids in the head. Kim walk with each of them" Brooke said.

"Ohh so you the boss huh while she your pet? She follow you around like a lost puppy. She do your dirty work for you? You think you so big and bad because you got her behind you but we know like you know you're nothing but a weak bitch"

"Naomi" my dad and Nick warned.

"You think somebody scared of you just because you have a gun. No no no no the only person that's scared is you. You're scared that your plan to be with my dad will fail. Yea sweetie I see it in your eyes" I said smirking.

A gun shot went off as everybody screamed. I didn't feel any sudden pain so I wasn't shot. I looked around and seen she shot at the floor by my feet.

"Ohh sweetheart you're a smart one. But don't ruin my surprise, k" Brooke said touching my face and winking.

"Kim everybody tied up" she asked.

"Yea" Kim said.

"Mom why are you doing this" Nick said.

"My sweet boy you'll find out in a second and I need you to stay out of the way so I don't hurt you ok" Brooke said kissing Nick's cheek.

"Alright so as I said before let's take a trip down memory lane. Starting from the very beginning. In high school, me and Vanessa were bestfriends. Her and Marcus were dating while I was dating Marcus old friend, Evan...Evan Miller.

I liked Evan I really did but I couldn't be with him because I liked Marcus more. Back then me and Marcus was about to be together but noooo he had to be in love with Vanessa. He had to only want her. He had to choose her over ME.

We almost had an altercation but he stopped it because he "loved Vanessa" but little do she know something actually happened. We became better friends than anything, may have even been considered bestfriends. We told each other everything and Vanessa never knew.

So we kept in contact for a while until something happened. So 15 almost 16 years ago, Marcus came over to my house and I guess y'all know what happened next. After that,I wasn't feeling right so I took a pregnancy test and it came back positive.

I didn't know what to feel: excited, sad, nothing. I called Marcus over to tell him but you know what he did? He shut me down. He disowned our child knowing it was his. He told me "I only have one family and it's not here."

Even after that for the sake of my child I tried to contact him. I called him and as before he shut me down again. So guess what I grew angry because he wasn't about to treat my child this way but afterwards I said fuck it I'll raise him on my own.

So guess what, I raised him to be the best man he could be and look at him now. 15 going on 16, playing football and basketball, have straight A's in all his classes, and couldn't be any better. I'm sorry you had to find out this way Nick but Marcus is your father." Brooke said.

I didn't know how to feel. Was I supposed to be excited to have another brother? Was I supposed to hate my dad? Or be angry at him? How was I supposed to feel.

"You told me my father died" Nick said with tears streaming down his face.

"I know honey but I couldn't just look you in your eyes and tell you that your father, your own blood, disowned you. How was I supposed to tell you that this no good nigga said he only had one son and only had one family not including you" Brooke said crying.

"Marcus how could you? I been with you through everything" mom said crying.

"I know I know I'm sorry I'm so sorry to all of you including you Nick. I was angry with myself for even allowing me and Brooke to sleep together knowing I had a family but I shouldn't have abandoned you. I'm sorry" dad said looking down.

Everybody started talking at once making it loud in the room. Kim shot a bullet in the air making the room fall silent.

"Now let me let y'all in on the plan. So I'm working with someone who wants a little revenge on Marcus. He wants to destroy Marcus maybe even kill him, well I guess he 'wanted' to since someone is making him have second thoughts" Brooke said looking at me.

"Who" I asked.

All of a sudden there was a knock on the door.
