Chapter 16 ~ Family Greetings

Heading to Naomi house, I started to rethink a lot of shit. How could I hurt her? Was mainly on my mind. He had it coming but I can't do her like that because it'll hurt me too....

Pulling up I got out with my hands sweaty walking to the door. Nay opened the door and hugged me then grabbed my hand.

"Don't be nervous you'll be fine" she said.

"I can't stay for too long I have somewhere to be" I said.

"Ok"

She took me to meet everyone then we got to her father. He stood up off the couch and shook my hand with aggression.

"What's your name son"

"Kyrie"

"Mr. Humble"

After that her mom called everyone to the table. She blessed the food and we started eating I didn't get a lot because I'm going back home to eat with my family. All I'm gone say is I'm not holding my tongue at all.

"So Kyrie what grade are you in" Mrs. H asked.

"Uhh I dropped out" I said.

"May I ask why" she asked.

"School wasn't for me. The teachers used to pick on me for no reason and after my dad died I couldn't go back" I felt Marcus look up at me.

"What happened to your dad" Nay lil sister, Jordyn, asked.

"Jo" Nay said looking at her.

"No it's cool my father was killed 4 yrs ago" I said.

"What about your mom" Nay brother, Jamal, asked.

"My mom is still in my life she still hurting about the situation but stuff happens"

The room fell silent until her bitch ass daddy had to say something.

"What are your intentions with my daughter" Marcus asked.

"Just to make her happy and be there for her no matter what. Even if it's on a friend level I'm cool with that I just wanna be there for her and not let anyone hurt her" I said wholeheartedly.

"Awww" all the girls said.

"That's not good enough" he said.

"Marcus" Mrs. H said warning him.

"What is your motive" he asked.

"Don't have none" I said.

"You frontin yo move son I see right through you" he said. This nigga just trying to get me to blow.

"Dad stop you asked him a question and he answered what more do you want" Nay said.

"I want him to be straight up" he said.

"And he is you can tell by looking at him" she said getting loud.

"Nay baby calm down" Mrs. H said.

"No because he doing too much ma" she said. I started laughing lowly.

"Hey I'm about to get up out of here" I whispered to Nay.

"Ok I'll walk you out" she said and we stood up.

"It was nice meeting y'all, enjoy y'all thanksgiving, I have to go" I said.

"Where you off to so soon" Marcus asked.

"I have somewhere to be" I said.

"I bet you do" he said lowly but I heard him.

"Aye say what you gotta say bruh" I said aggravated.

"We all know you going somewhere you don't supposed to be" he said. I laughed this nigga either real funny or know something up.

My phone started ringing I looked down seeing it was my mom.

"You know what I'm just gone leave before I say something out the way or hidden. And since you wanna know so bad this where I got to be" I said showing them my mom calling.

"Aye li boy watch yo back" he yelled.

"Ian worried you got it bruh" I said.

"Talk to you later Nay" I said getting in my car.

I headed back home. This nigga not about to stop me from spending time with my family. He need to spend more with his own before it get taken away from him.

And I feel like that's coming realll soon....

Naomi Pov*

"Dad what did he mean and why did you tell him to watch his back" I asked.

"Don't worry about it" he said.

"No because we wanna know" I said.

"Leave it alone Nay" he said.

"Dad just tell m-"

"I SAID LEAVE IT ALONE DAMN" he got up and went upstairs.

I'll find out one way or another...
