don't forget about me (poetry)

Do you know?

Do you really know how it felt,
to have the one you love.
be thousands of miles away?
Not able to touch.
Not able to feel.
Not able to love.

Then to fall in love again, but have it,
fall to pieces in an instant.
Not able to touch.
Not able to feel.
Not able to love.

Then to have your hopes and dreams,
come crashing down on you,
and you feel numb to the world.
Not able to touch.
Not able to feel.
Not able to love.

But then all of a sudden a person,
or as I say a ray of sunshine,
comes shining onto you,
making it all okay again.
Able to touch.
Able to feel.
Able to love.

Then all you want in life,
is the best for yourself,
so you do what you think is best,
but ruin it all in the blink of an eye.
Not able to touch.
Not able to feel.
Not able to love.

Then feel like giving up,
and as if everything,
is going the opposite way,
and all you want is to be,
Able to touch.
Able to feel.
Able to love.
Once again.

Then that Ray of sunshine,
shines back down on you,
and you appreciate it more than before,
and it accepts you and finally you are.
Able to touch.
Able to feel.
Able to love.
For the rest of your time.

For in this moment,
you have your whole world,
in your hands and all you can do,
is leave it be so as to let,
everything happen as it was planned,
and you'll be content,
and forever you'll be.
Able to be touched.
Able to be felt.
Able to loved.
By one special person.

For that person will always be there,
through your ups and downs,
and they might leave for a while,
but I guarantee they'll come right back,
because they're forever is,
in your arms and yours is in theirs.
