I just want to say, I'm really unhappy with how messy the story started out and I really want to go and fix it haha but I've convinced myself I should fix it after completing the whole story, or at least an arc.
I like can't wait to finish this whole draft so I can fix the disturbing way I skipped over so many characters. Smh.

"My name is Frazier Polit, nice to meet you."
I take his outstretched hand and shake it, "Nice to meet you, Frazier. My name is Mercia and that's about as much as I'm willing to tell you."
Yeah, I'm no expert but something tells me that getting involved in his business won't mean anything good for me and so I prefer to keep him just as a companion to talk to. He's smart, so he should understand why I'd tell him such a thing on our first meeting.
"So cold to me, princess. Then, would you listen to what I'm willing to share?"
Surprisingly enough, I actually want to. It's interesting to know about gossips of a neighbouring prince's country. What will it be about?
"What do you want to share with me?"
"You see, I'm in a way, very similar to you. Abandoned, mistreated and often belittled. There's no questioning why I'd like to fight against it..."
I stood there listening to him tell the tale so overused, I could continue the words he hasn't said yet. An abandoned prince? Highly doubt it. He's just competing with his elder brother.
"...and that is what you, princess, must want as well, right? To be loved and adored?"
I zoned out in the middle of his story, looking him dead in the eye and replied with respect, "It's unfortunate that you weren't treated the way you think you deserve to be...and I, this princess you say share the same fate with you will gladly.."
"She wouldn't go anywhere near you."
-decline.... Ah I didn't get to finish my sentence yet. Now it seemed like I was going to accept. Ugh, it's going to be awkward having to explain to the prince afterwards.
I turned to the familiar green haired boy that interrupted the conversation..
"Brother? What are you doing here?"
"Well, where else would I be? I need to keep an eye on my sister." (Cal)
Cal walked towards me and blocked me from the prince's view, cleverly changing the topic so I wouldn't notice. Though I did.
"Why don't you join me inside for a dance? Everyone else is dancing as well so we wouldn't be attracting any attention." (Cal)
Unconsciously, the way I talked changed as I was familiar with the playful tone I often use while talking to Cal,
"Your green hair contrasting against my black one is enough to attract people's attention."
"Wouldn't that be a sight to see? So, what do you think?" (Cal)
I smiled and agreed to the offer but then remembered the prince who was thrown aside and looked over Cal to see his amused face. Is he a big M? Does he like being ignored after all?
"Don't be bothered by me, continue on with your sibling show of affection. Your reply was cut short but I am glad that you seem to see things my way." (Frazier)
No, that wasn't it at all..
" I don't reckon my sister has anything say to, much less agree to you. Careful your greedy hands don't fall to places it shouldn't." (Cal)
