Chapter-10

Zach's POV ( This is his POV from what happened from chapter 6 onwards )

The dense forest surrounding me always gave me a sense of stability and freedom. I ran in my wolf form , my paws leaving footprints of my presence behind. Then I hear a scream , loud enough to scare the birds away. I run through the enormous trees making my way towards the source of the scream. Then I hear heavy panting and I slowly make my way towards the tree she is hiding behind atleast 5 feet away, the wind pushing her hair back. Then there was a loud growl from behind her and before I could react everything turns black.

I wake up gasping for air. Who was the person attacking the girl and who was the girl? And why was I having this dreams? I sighed pushing the duvets off me and pulled on a hoodie over my head and rushed outside. I needed to clear my mind. I pulled my hood over my head and walked aimlessly through the street, it was late in the evening everyone was rushing home or going for dinner or just having sometime off like me. I continued walking as I almost reached the street adjacent to the public library. It was quiet here, peaceful. Taking a deep breath I took a step forward when Jason , my beta mind-linked me .

"Where the fuck are you?" Jason was pissed I can hear the fury in this voice.

"I just came out for a walk" I replied

"The rogues have entered our territory. They have a pack Zachary! The warriors are fighting but we need you here. You know who's life is on bet" Jason almost boomed in my mind and I mentally cursed rushing to get to my pack. I can't turn now , I sprinted wanting to get back to my pack. Just when looked down I bumped into someone , stabilizing her I couldn't ignore the sparks that rushed through my whole body. Concentrating on the matter in hand I ignored her and made my way towards the forest , turning into my wolf form and running in the direction of my house.

Just as I got there I saw a rogue about to pounce on Jason who was strangling the other one.

I growled and pounced on him from behind taking him down and slashing his throat. The blood smeared all over me. Jason looked at me and bowed and I nodded.

We took care of the matter and took a few in the dungeons injecting them with silver and electrocuting them enough for them to open their mouth and not killing them. I told Jason to take over and changed into my human form rushing inside the house.

She was curled in a ball on the carpet crying hysterically. I went up to her and took her in my arms , letting her hold onto me.

"I'm here. It's okay. Noone's gonna hurt you now. I'm sorry." I kept repeating again and again.

Finally after a few hours she calmed down and looked at me with her red puffy eyes. I smiled at her wiping her tears.

"Just so you know you look horrible" I smiled and a smile cracked on her face. She hit me on the chest and I laughed.

"What if they find out Zach? What if they kill me?" She said tears again filling her eyes.

"They won't. They won't even touch you, I won't let them come near you. You're our lil secret and will always be" I said

"But there's gonna be a day when they find out. Do you really think the potion Grandma gave me is gonna work always? I can't hide my scent forever" she cried out

"Shh. Stop stressing yourself and let your brother here do the job okay? I promise you no-one's gonna lay a finger on my sister and I promise to slaughter anyone who does" anger evident in my eyes now.

She hugged me tight and I held her close. She was the only one I had now and I loved her to death. If anything happens to her I don't know what I'll do. I won't forgive myself ever.

"Adora" someone called and we looked back and saw Jenna standing in the middle of the room. Jenna was our cook and the only person we knew since our parents died. She was more like a guardian. Adora rushed and hugged her and I sighed happy to see her safe and sound. I needed to do something, I needed a plan.

We were starting school today. I checked up on Adora who was thrilled to start this new journey trying to forget about yesterday's events.

"Are you sure you're gonna be okay?" I asked.

"Yes sir. Now can we go?" She inquired rolling her eyes.

Just as I was going to give her a smart ass comeback , we heard honking outside and knew our friends were here.

Adore skipped steps and reached but I still bet her with my speed and smirked at her.
She huffed and we made our way outside. We decided to go together as it was our first day here and we were gonna meet someone there.

There stood Jimin and Ethan my bestfriends. How are we friends when they're Vampire Prince and me a werewolf you ask? Well it goes back to the time when we were just lil kids unaware of our abilities. My family stayed in Russia at that time.

Flashback

I was roaming through the woods in the evening just behind our house. I was 7 years old at that time. While strolling and fooling around , I came across a beautiful lake which glistened under the rays of sun. I was mesmerized and beside me I heard someone gasp and turned to see two boys of the same age as me looking at the lake with the same twinkling eyes I had a few moments back. We locked eyes and then continued watching the lake in peace. This continued for weeks and we never talked just sat by the lake admiring it.
We eventually figured out a way to break the ice and we have been inseparable since then.

End of flashback

I have felt her. I know she's here. I have seen her with Adora. When I saw her for the first time she looked disheveled yet beautiful. She looked like she hasn't slept all night. She was in the cafeteria sitting alone eating a sandwich, nose buried in a book. Who reads a book in a cafeteria? I smiled and looked the other way. I knew she was a human and I wanted to stay away. I knew it was not the perfect time. She needed to be away.
This continued for a month. I always watched her not in a creepy way obviously I just couldn't go near her. I'm the blazing sun and she was like a moth- if she came near me she will burn. So I never came in front of her and she never tried to find me even if she knew. She knew, it was written all over her face when she thought she heard or saw someone , she always tried to find me.
I couldn't control myself when I saw her at Beth's party. I wanted to stay away but I knew I couldn't. She looked so beautiful, her brown eyes grew so big when she saw me and it made me chuckle. Her honey skin and black wavy her, pink pouty lips she was beautiful to me. But it was as if moon goddess didn't want us to be together, as soon as I heard her friends I jumped down the balcony and disappeared not before promising to see her soon. I knew I wouldn't go near her know, I messed up big time. I couldn't let her in. I wanted to keep her away and that was what I was planning to do.
