Chapter- 32

Often times the dark tunnel seems never ending, every step feels like the last but never is. A light at the end is just an illusion, a mirage of the desires of our heart. We often ignore the signs because we want to believe what we feel is right and not the truth. The truth and our belief are often two different things. I shouldn't have let you in. I shouldn't have trusted you so much.

After coming back from the castle we explained everything to them. Looking at everyone's shocked and happy faces it was just a matter of fact that they will start running around the room trying to find the clues from the book and that's what exactly happened in a second. Everyone was running around too excited to find the clues now.

"This is crazy" Jimin said sitting on the kitchen counter trying to find something while flipping through the pages of the book as Claire stood beside him peeking.

"You won't get it" Soobin said snatching the book from him and sitting on the sofa.

"And you would?" Jimin stood in front of him glaring at him.

"Calm down, maybe he will find something" Claire butted in before Jimin could punch him.

Jimin had a really bad temper and we had known not to argue with him. Maybe it came with being the vampire prince or maybe he was just a ticking time bomb.

It had been hours and no-one had found anything. I still couldn't think of anything.

"Maybe we are doing something wrong" Bel said

"Maybe that was the only clue? Maybe there's nothing else" Catherine said

"It can't be. There is something but we aren't able to figure it out just now" Zach said sitting on the sofa looking at the book.

"We can look through it again tomorrow after school. Right now we need to sleep. I'm sure we will find something soon" I said giving them a small smile.

I couldn't concentrate on any classes because I was too focused on the clues that we were missing in the book.

Was there really nothing? No it can't be, there must be something. Why can't I find it? I let out an exasperated sigh as I walked towards my car.

Everyone already left because they had some or the other work. I was going to meet the girls in an hour. I need to clear my mind before meeting them so I can be of any help.

"What are you doing here?" Zach asked as I walked in.

"Umm shouldn't I ask you that" I said as I looked at Zach standing in the middle of Bel's house. "You told me you have some pack work when I called you just an hour back" I continued as I looked at them. Something wasn't right here or maybe I was just overthinking.

"Zea he just got here. He wanted to help us" Bel said as she came forward and stood beside him. They both looked so uneasy as if I caught they doing something I shouldn't have. I smiled and let it slide because I knew for a fact my bestfriend and Zach won't do something to hurt me.

After a few hours and discussing things with the girls and Zach we concluded that maybe there really wasn't anything more to look for. The doorbell ranged signaling someone's arrival.

"I'll get it" Bel stood up and went.

"Soobin couldn't you wait a little longer. Adora wasn't going anywhere" Bel said as Soobin walked behind her visibly tensed.

"I wanted to talk to Zea. She wouldn't pick up her call so I came here." he said looking at me and for the first time in 3 hours I checked my cellphone to see his calls and messages.

"What do you want to talk to her?" Zach asked annoyed.

"I would like to talk to her alone" Soobin said calmly, "Zea" Soobin looked at me and I stood up wanting to hear what he wanted to talk so urgently.

"She's not going anywhere" Zach said holding my hand.

I could hear the anger in his voice and how his muscles tensed, his grip tightening on my wrist.

I slowly removed my wrist from his death like grip massaging it slowly as I looked at him.

"I guess that's for me to decide and I would like to hear what he has to say" I said looking at Zach.

Before anyone could object we left the room and went out. "What do you want to talk about?" I asked Soobin as we came out. "Not here" was all he said before motioning me to get into the car and zoomed off into the dull night.

The whole car ride was silent expect the sound of the wind as we made our way into the woods. The seemed familiar as if I had been here before but I couldn't figure it out just yet.

The car stopped in the middle of nowhere, stepping out we made our way letting the silence between us play a slow song as the leaves crunching beneath our feets created the melody.

We were in front of the same castle where Ethan brought me earlier but it seemed so different as the night grew. The eerie feeling grew stronger as we took each step near the entrance.

Just before the entrance Soobin stopped and looked at me,

"I want you to keep an open mind and listen to me. I don't know the reason why they were hiding it from everyone but you need to know." He said looking in my eyes.

"What are you talking about? Can you please explain?" I was getting impatient and irritated. I felt like I was being left out, it felt like everyone knew something except me.

He took my hand and walked behind the entrance through an alley I had never strangely seen when I came in the daylight.
Through the alley we entered a different part of the woods.

"No-one comes here. It comes under the restricted area." Soobin said as I looked around. The hair on the back of my neck stood up as a cool breeze blew by as if someone standing behind me and breathing.
I quickly turned around but there was no one.

"Then why are we here? Soobin I don't think we should be here" I said the fear evident in my voice and eyes.

"That's what he wants" Was all he said.
