Chapter-24

Zach's POV

I tossed the table over frustrated from everything. She left. I wanted to stop her, wanted to run behind her but I couldn't. If I loose now there's no going back and I can't let anyone be the reason for risking Adora's life again.

I sighed walking down. I needed to let my wolf out.

"I'm going for a run" I told to no-one in particular but I knew jenna heard.

"Stop right there" Adora came in my sight

"I need to go for a run" I said not even meeting her eye

"And I need to talk to you" Adora said folding her arms

I sighed walking towards the living room and making myself comfortable on the sofa.

"I saw Zea running out of here" Adora said and it was more like a statement than a question. She knew.

I rubbed my face not in the mood for this discussion right now.

"Adora please not right now" I said

"Yes now" she said coming to sit beside me , "when are you going to face it ? Zach I'm old enough to take care of myself you don't have to continuously worry about me"

I looked at her and she gave me a small smile

"I know you care about me Zacky I know how much you have done for me since we were kids. I can't even describe how thankful I'm for you, lemme speak" she said as soon as I opened my mouth to object

"You have sacrificed everything for me and I don't want that anymore Zach. I have told you time and again I'm old enough to take care of myself, you need to look after yourself and your life. You can't sacrifice your love for me. I feel so helpless when I see you like this Zach. I want to help you, be there for you but I can't if you keep pushing everything away. Zea was the one bringing you out of your darkness, you have no idea how happy I was to see my brother finally looking after himself. Don't push her away Zach not for me not for anyone else. She doesn't deserve this. She wasn't at fault here Zach and even you know it. I understand your pain and anger but taking it out on her is wrong. You're projecting your relationship with something it wasn't made of in the first place. She never lied to you, that poor girl herself never knew this. Imagine what she is going through. He killed her grandma as well and now he is after everyone she loves" Adora said looking at me softly

"Give her a chance. Give yourself a chance Zacky" Adora said smiling

"I'm with Soobin so don't worry too much. I'll give you sometime" she left pecking my cheek.

Even though Adora was right I can't let Zea come back again. I can't let my people down. They didn't deserve this not after my parents death. But I knew I can't leave Zea alone so I made up my mind to fight him. I'll do everything to protect her. I can be her friend if not anything else.

Seamus's POV

"What are we going to do sire?" Gerald asked as I sat on my chair humming a tune a wicked smirk forming on my lips.

"Ahh Gerald you worry too much" I said as I stood up looking at the mirror in front of me.

My 6'2 physical form held so much power no one could comprehend. The kids thought I was a mere warlock who could perform small funny tricks on them but they haven't seen my full potential.

"My mother Gerald" I turned around, "she was an impressive woman but she wasn't smart." I chuckled

"The gem I know it's with them. I know she hid it somewhere in some small worthless nostalgic gift of theirs. I just have to find which one it is." I said

"How sire? That girl won't bring us the gem so easily" Gerald said

"No she won't Gerald. You know why I'm torturing her ? She's special. She's like my mother. I visit her in her dreams , oh the fun I have" I smiled again at the memory of torturing Zea since she was a kid

"But she's a stubborn one. Just like her Grandma but one touch to her favourite brother and she will be putty in my hands" I laughed.

"The new year is going to bring surprises for Zea" I said my eyes red with hunger. Hunger for their blood.

Seamus never bows down in front of anyone. I'm the one everyone will bow down to.  Once I get the gem I'll be indestructible. No power on earth will ever break me. No power will be greater than me. Everyone will fear me.

I'll be the indestructible king. King Seamus.

My laughter echoed through the walls of the palace.

"Sire, forgive me but how are we going to reach them?" Gerald opened his filthy mouth again

"She will take us to them Gerald. My love will guide us" a wicked grin covering my face

.

I walked through the forest where our meeting spot is.

"Why did you call me here Seamus" she said anger evident in her voice

"Now now love. Eager are we? Let's talk about us. We haven't met in years" I said smiling at her

"And I wish to keep it that way Seamus. You're not the same Seamus I once loved. Greed has taken over you. You're a monster" she spat

"Ahh that hurt" I said putting a hand on my heart, "c'mon love , don't you want to be by my side when I become the king? When I rule over the world. You'll be my queen love. You'll have all the riches of the world. You'll be known as the Queen."

"I don't want to be your queen Seamus. Not a monster's queen" she said with disgust

I laughed walking closer to her, "aren't we all monsters love? The humans consider us as one. Why are you still protecting that lil filthy being" I spat

"They are much better than what you and your disgusting men are there's no comparison. I wish you knew what love is Seamus. I wish you knew how much light it would bring in your darkness but you're beyond it now" she said her eyes devoid of any emotions

"Love" I laughed , "there's nothing I love more than that gem and you're ", I went and held her neck tightly "you're the only one who could bring me closer to it" I said tighting my grip

I saw as she struggled in my hold, loosening it she fell down in front of me coughing

"Don't do this Seamus I beg you. They don't have anyone except me. Kill me if you want but leave them alone" she cried.

"And what good would it do for me by killing you huh?" I bend down holding her face roughly, "you're a disgrace to our kind" I spat on her kicking her in the stomach

"Bring me the gem I know you still have powers and know the humans. Or the consequences won't be good Jenna" and with that I left.
