-----Trevor P.O.V-----
As much as Jami doesn't want to tell anyone about our discovery just yet, I can't not tell Travis, he's my twin. Walking up to our room, we debate back and forth about whether or not to tell him and before we know it we're standing right outside the door.
"Jami, I don't understand why we can't just tell him. It won't harm anyone" I try to reason with her once again.
"Look, I just don't feel comfortable with it right now. I need time" her tone is hard, leaving no room for debate as I stare back into her unmoving gaze.
I'm not giving up that easily. "Why? Give me one good reason not to tell him because so far it's just sounding like excuses. He's my brother Jami, we're twins for fucks sake, we tell each other everything. He's bound to find out on his own anyway." Her hard features crack slightly as a flash of hurt crosses over her stern exterior.
Reaching out to comfort her as I realise I must've hit a nerve, my mouth opens to ask her what's wrong, quickly being cut off by her soft whisper "fine. Lets tell him".
Before I can stop her she opens the door to our room and walks in, plastering a smile on her face as she spots Travis lying on the couch, scrolling through his phone.
What was that all about?

He's right. He has a good relationship with his brother, a normal one.
Stepping into the room, I make my way over to Travis and plop myself down on the couch, turning my back to him, I lower my head onto his lap. Looking down at me he smiles warmly putting his dimples that I love on display. I turn my attention to Trev and I watch as he makes his way over like I did, sitting down on the other end of the couch, lifting my legs up as he did and placing them on his lap.
After I let out a small sigh Travis looks back down at me from his phone asking "Everything all good?".
"We need to tell you something and I don't want you to freak out or anything, okay?" Trev begins, his words causing Travis to shut his phone off and placing it back into his pocket so he can give us his full attention.
"we're...well...you know how I lost my mate almost a year ago now?" Glancing down at me I send Trevor a reassuring smile. Giving his hand, that now rests on top of my stretched out legs, a tight squeeze pushing him to go on.
"Yeah?" Travis responds also eager for him to continue.
"Well, I also lost mine too. To be more accurate, we rejected each other" giving Trev a little helping hand I add onto his words, now looking back down at me Travis's eyes widen slightly, his confusion growing as his eyes appear to be drowning in unanswered questions.
Trevor continues "and down on the field today, when I hugged Jamilah, we both felt...something" Travis just stares at us with his bottom jaw hanging loose, as if an anchor was pulling it down.
Realisation coats his features "so you're what?...Second chance mates?" whispering the last part, as if it were top secret information.
"Yeah, I guess we are" I watch Trevor respond as the corners of his lips twitch up.
"No fucking way...".
