"How could you see her?" Jared asks after a while of driving.
"Guilt." I reply.
"What are you feeling guilty about?"
"My parents." I answer and Jared pulls over immediately.
"It's not your fault." He says looking into my eyes.
"It is. They died because of me." I insist.
"No. Dean killed them."
"I also feel guilty about you dying, because you did and we haven't talked about that yet." I tell him.
"There is nothing to talk about, beautiful, you brought me back and that is all that matters."
"But how could I even bring someone back from the dead? It shouldn't be possible, most of what I can do shouldn't be possible and I don't want to hurt people. I want to help them and I swear to you if you didn't tell me to stop I would have killed that man." I say knotting my fingers and slightly trembling.
Jared sits in silence for a few minutes then says, "We need to find Dean. He can teach you to control your gift."
"It's not a gift. It's a fucking curse!"
"No, it's not." He says, leaning over to me and cups my face, "You brought me back."
I realize how out of control I would be if not for him, he keeps me grounded. Jared starts the truck and we drive back to the Ranch in silence. I'm glad to see the familiar place, it makes me feel safe.
Once inside Jared starts the fire and the entire place warms up. I lay my head on his shoulder. I'm grateful that we are together and in one piece.
"I will start looking for Dean." Jared says getting up but I stop him.
"Screw him." I reply and move to sit on his lap.I bend and kiss him softly on his mouth, he gets up with me and lays me down on the carpet in front of the fireplace. I don't unlock my legs from his waist and he smiles as he bends down to kiss me, the kiss deepens and I feel like nothing else matters. There is a noise outside and we both sit up to listen, trying to be as quiet as we possibly can. There is a loud bang on the door and I feel a shiver run down my spine. I am in no mood for more trouble.
The knocking continues and I open the door.
"What the hell do you want?" I ask angrily when the old wrinkly man and the same man that has attacked me twice and killed Jared. I move closer to the door feeling my rage about to take over but Jared holds me back. I instantly feel calmer.
"May we come in please?" He asks politely and that pisses me off even more.
"No!" I yell. Jared turns me a little to him then says, "Let's hear them out." I look at him wishing I could read his thoughts.
We step aside and the men come inside, the old man goes to sit down on one of the chairs near the fireplace and other man goes to stand next to him, "So John tells me that you are able to change vampires into humans and throw things around and also it seems that you are able to resurrect the dead as well."
"So?" I ask, hearing how bitchy I sound but I don't care.
The old man laughs, "You are quite a firecracker."
"Who the hell are you?" I ask, my frustration growing by the second.
"Apologies for my rudeness, I'm not used to witches that saves lives, John has been investigating and it appears all that you have told him is in fact true."
"Still haven't told us who you are." Jared says.
"I am Cole Masters the third." He says proudly.
