"Okay, what do you think?" A blonde haired student asks holding a blouse in front of her chest looking in the mirror, "Hmmm." Her roommate says looking her up and down. "Oh go, too Martha Stewart?" The blonde asks. Her roommate walks to the closet and pulls out a short red dress. "Here." she says. "Uhm. I don't know if this is really me." The blonde says skeptically. "Laurie, there's a hot chic buried in there somewhere. "Okay. Okay." Laurie agrees and gets dressed. "So?" She asks after she returns. "Damn girl. He's probably not going to know what hit him." Laurie looks at herself and says, "Okay." "Well he's probably downstairs. I'll see you later." "Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" Her roommate calls after her as she walks out the door. Laurie stops at the door, "There is nothing you wouldn't do." "It's true." Her roommate replies. Laurie drives with her boyfriend to a secluded part under a bridge. "Thought we're going to the movies?" Laurie asks as the car stops. "We'll be on time." He replies."You know if I didn't know any better I would think you brought me here on purpose." "What? I'm offended." "Yeah, I'm sure." She smiles. They start kissing and her phone rings, she breaks the kiss. "You want to get that?" The boy asks. "Definitely not." She replies and they kiss again, his hand goes to her neck and moves down, he sticks his fingers under the strap of her dress and starts to pull it down when she stops him. "No." She says. "It's okay." He says continuing to kiss her, they both jump when they hear a scraping sound. "What was that?" Laurie asks looking around. "I don't know." He replies looking around, they jump when they hear the scraping sound again. "What is that?" The guy asks opening his door. "No, Rich." Laurie says. "Just wait here." He says and starts walking around; he sees scratches appear on the side of his car. "What the hell?" "Richard, let's go." Laurie says, panicked. A tire pops and she yells, the rear window glass shatters, she starts breathing heavily calling out to Richard, and she locks all the doors. "Rich, where are you?" She calls, she hears an owl in the background and something moves on the roof, she opens the car door and looks around. She turns and sees her boyfriend hanging upside down from the bridge, his hand thumps on the car's roof. Laurie screams.

I wake up in the motel room we have booked into the night before, I turn around looking for Jared and see him sitting by the small table in the corner.

"Morning. Did you get any sleep?"

"Not much, I was keeping a look out."

"You need to rest." I tell him.

"I'm okay. What did you dream about?"

"How did you know I was dreaming?" I ask.

"You have the look." Jared smiles.

I tell him about the dream. "The paper says the body was found on 9 mile road, authorities are unable to provide a realist description of the suspect and an eyewitness whose name is being withheld says that the attacker was invisible." Jared says while we're having breakfast.

"The invisible man."

"Let's check it out." I can see there is something bothering him. Who burnt our house down? Or can it be something else?

We drive to the fraternity house, Jared talks his way in as a prospective pledge. When they asked who I was Jared said that I was his sister. I can't help but think that I would be in university by now if what happened didn't happen.

We poke our heads into a room with an open door. "Who are you?" A young man asks us, he is covered in purple paint.

"Just checking out the place." Jared answers.

"Cool, hey man, can you get my back? I'm Murphy by the way."

Jared and I look at each other and Jared says, "She's the artist."

The young man hands me a paintbrush and the bucket. I glare at Jared thinking of ways to get him back for this. Jared sits down on the couch, "So Murphy is it true?"
