Hope Mikaelson's POV
I couldn't even explain the amount of anger I was feeling right now. I didn't know whether I wanted to cry or punch Hope in the face.
"Hope, I can explain." Hope said.
What excuse could she possibly make? She was literally making out with my boyfriend. Whatever she was going to say would never make up for what she just did.
"Um, it was a dare. I never would've done it if I knew you guys were together." Hope explained.
"If it was just a dare then why did you keep on kissing him?!" I yelled.
Hope was speechless after that. The only reason she probably did it was to break my heart. I wonder what Landon thought about all this.
"Landon, what do you have to say for yourself?" I asked.
"She came up to me and I pushed her away. Please you have to believe me. I would never hurt you like that." Landon said.
I couldn't say anything after that. I couldn't even look at Landon's face. The more I did the more heartbroken I felt.
Landon was the only person I truly loved in this school and even Hope took him away from me.
"Just go, Landon." I said.
"But"- Landon said.
"I SAID GO!"I shouted. I looked in a mirror and saw my eyes glow light blue.
Landon didn't say a word. He walked past me and went downstairs.
"Now you! I'm not finished with you yet!" I said .
I used my powers to lift Hope and take her out of the dorm. Then I used my magic to slam her against the wall.
"Please, you don't have to do this." Hope said.
"Oh, yes I do! You took everything away from me Hope! And now it's finally time you pay the price!" I said.
I was about to shoot her with another one of my spells but she used her magic to create a shield around herself.
"Oh, so that's how you wanna do this? Fine we'll take this fight someplace else!" I shouted.
I used a spell to poof us out of the school to outside. It was time for a fight and I was going to win.
Hope blasted me with magic that stuck me against a tree. Vines and leaves started to tangle my arms and legs.
"I really don't want to do this. But you leave me no choice!" Hope said.
Kids from the school started looking out of the windows and some kids even went outside and started cheering us on like this was some type of game.
"Intermissum!" I screamed. The vines untangled me and I was back on my feet.
"Infatuate strigis!" I shouted. My magic created a noise so loud that Hope started to scream in pain.
"You deserve this! You have taken everything that I have loved! I loved Landon! I loved being the hero! Why did you have to screw things up for me?" I shouted.
"If there's one thing my family taught me its that revenge is never the answer! You can change Hope! Fighting isn't going to get us anywhere!" Hope said.
Tears started running down my face. A part of me told me that she was right. Another part of me wanted to keep Hope in pain until her brain cells exploded.
"I'm not the one who needs to change! You do! I saw what you were doing in the dorm yesterday night! You were summoning the monsters here! You want us all dead!" I shouted.
"That's what you thought I was doing? I was trying to find out where the monsters came from! I used a locator spell not a summoning spell!" Hope said standing back up.
"I don't believe you! Hope you are a terrible person and you will forever be dead to me, literally!" I shouted.
"Retorquebit!" The spell I used twisted Hopes left ankle. She fell back to the ground screaming in pain once again.
I enjoyed watching Hope in pain until I saw her eyes. All I saw in her eyes was hopelessness, pain, and misery. It's how I felt for most of my life.
Now she finally knew what it felt like to be me. The pain I felt for being alone, the hopelessness I felt because I thought that I wasn't enough. And the misery I felt when Hope saved everyone instead of me.
"Hey! What's going on out here!" a voice shouted.
It was Alaric and his daughters running outside to see the chaos.
"Oh my god!" Lizzie shouted as she saw Hope on the ground. "What did you do to her?"
"She got what she deserved!" I replied.
"You're a monster!" Lizzie said.
Josie didn't say anything she just stared at me in disappointment.
Everyone started crowding around Hope. Eventually someone called the ambulance and took Hope to the hospital downtown.
Even now people only talked about Hope and I was ignored once again. This time I couldn't blame them, they shouldn't come up to me especially since I tried to kill her.
"You have some explaining to do Hope!" Alaric said.
He and I went down to his office. Just like Josie, he had the look of disappointment on his face.
"I can't believe you did that! This is so not like you, Hope. What is going on?" Alaric asked.
I didn't say anything. Instead I put my head down in shame. The adult I trusted the most in the world couldn't even trust me anymore.
"She kissed my boyfriend. She said it was a dare but I know she was lying. She knew what she was doing." I explained.
"There are no words to express how I feel right now. According to the rules I should expel you but I'm going to give you a second chance." Alaric said.
"Really?" I said surprised.
"Yes, now remember I'm not giving you a third chance."he said. "So please don't screw it up"
I thanked Professor Saltzman and headed back to the dorm.
Finally, I had the dorm all to myself just like old times. But for some reason something didn't feel right. I looked at the empty bed next to me where Hope would've slept tonight.
I should've felt good about making Hope suffer but I didn't. She was right revenge wasn't the answer and it didn't make me feel better, in fact it made me feel worse. I looked in the mirror and started to cry. I hated the face I was staring at.
I hated myself.
