Hope Mikaelson's POV

It was up to me, Alaric, and Regina to look in the sorcerers mansion. According to Regina there were many magical objects here so it would make sense that the necklace would be here too.

I could also feel negative energy coming from Alaric and Regina. Those two definitely had a complicated past together. And they were keeping it a secret.

The more I stared at them, the more curious I became. What did Alaric do so bad that Regina hated him so much?

I didn't want to start a conversation like that especially since we had bigger things to worry about.

"If I was a monster, I would cloak the necklace with some type of spell so no one would be able to see it." Regina said.

"So you think the necklace is invisible somewhere?" Alaric asked.

"That's exactly what I think." Regina replied.

How are you going to find it then?" Alaric said.

"I have a spell that can sense where any magical object is. I can track down the necklace." Regina said.

"But like you said before, this place is full of magical objects." Alaric said. "You won't find it."

"Okay, since you think you're so smart, why don't you try and find it?" Regina said.

Alaric kept his mouth shut after that.

"That's what I thought."she said.

If they were going to keep on bickering like this, I would lose my mind. I had to get away from them.

"Why don't you guys stay in here while I check another room." I said.

"Great idea Hope." Alaric said. "I'm coming with you."

"That's not really a good idea." I said.

"Why not?" Alaric said.

I came up to him and whispered in his ear.

"What is going on between you two?" I whispered.

"It's complicated." Alaric whispered back.

"Look, I don't know what happened between you two, but I do know you guys have some things you need to work out. So I'm gonna leave so you guys can be alone." I explained.

"But"- Alaric said.

I left the room before Alaric could finish his sentence.

Alaric's POV

Thanks to Hope I was now stuck with the one person I didn't want to be around.

"So, how are we going to do this?" I asked.

"I was thinking maybe I can undo the invisibility spell. The spell will only work if there is something invisible here." Regina explained.

"But we still don't know for sure if the necklace is here or not." Alaric said.

"Exactly." Regina said. "If the spell doesn't work than we know it's not here."

Regina began scanning the whole place with her magic. This was going take a while.

This was the perfect time to start a conversation with her. But would I say?

Hey, do you want to talk about our awkward and complicated relationship? No that sounded too weird. I had to say something that would get her attention right away.
