So, yeah, after the carnival, things got really fucking weird. Remember how I said strap in with your blunt or a couple of shots filled with your choice of liquor? Well, now's the time to make sure that seatbelt is extra tight.

Soli was at her locker when Principal Hayes came bustling through the school with an officer at his side. Students heading to their classes were murmuring as to why they were even there in the first place. But she had a free period, so there was nothing stopping her from being nosy.
When she followed them after they had rounded the corner, she stopped in her tracks, quickly backing up hiding behind the wall. They had walked into the classroom, asking for Nate Jacobs.
"You wanna tell me what the problem is?" He asked once he was outside the classroom, eyeing both Hayes and the officer, trying his to hide the worry in his voice.
"Don't worry, we will," replied Principal Hayes, and the three began to head back to the hallway where Soli was. She had to act fast, so the only thing she could think of was sliding down the flyer covered wall, whipping out a random textbook from her backpack. Just as she cracked it open to a random page, they came into view, with both Hayes and Nate briefly making eye contact. Nate furrows his eyebrows at her before looking away, and Principal Hayes physically expresses his dislike of her being in the hallway.
"And why aren't you in class, Ms. Cole?"
"I have a free period, Principal Hayes." She was about to stutter, figuring he was going to catch her in a lie, but she was telling the truth. At least about this.
"Then you should be in the library. Get to it, please." He sounded stressed, more than usual.
"Yes sir," she murmured, but he has already continued too far down the hallway for him to hear her. She rises to her feet after stuffing the textbook into her backpack, following in the path of Hayes and Nate. She passes the library doors, and peers around the corner, getting a bit of a view of outside the principal's office. Standing outside is Nate's parents, with his dad, Cal, doing most of the quiet talking directed towards Principal Hayes. Nate then appears out from the office, the officer in tow. His father murmurs some things to him, and they engage in a brief, hushed conversation. He then firmly pats him on his shoulder, but it doesn't seem like his son was reassured. Nate turns around, not expecting to see Soli staring at him as he is lead out of the building by the officer. His face remains blank as he turns away, and Soli retreats back behind the wall, closing her eyes after feeling like she was going to throw up.
Was this Maddy's doing? Soli doesn't remember hitting her hard enough to cause much damage, but then again, all she could at the time was red. But why would she blame Nate, and not her?
