"Stupid bitch!"

*BAM!* My body slammed onto the lockers. Fuck just my luck I could feel pain run down my back. I look up at the girls surrounding me the leader takes a step closer to me. She looks at her hand with her other hand around her chest Emily Brooks a tall slender big-chested girl with long dirty blond hair and dark brown eyes the cause of my suffering in this stupid school.

"Look" she hisses "get this through your stupid little head don't get to close to jake. He's mine I don't care if your childhood friends. I don't like you hanging around my BOYFRIEND all the time."

I felt my body stiffen on hearing her threatening tone. She stepped closer cornering me against the lockers I saw her raise her hand and bring it down with full force *Smack*. my glasses fell onto the floor leaving my cheek feeling warm due to the impact I felt blood trickling from my lips. It seems her nails cut into my lip great of course they would. After telling me ever so nicely to back off jake they left me there in the girl's locker room as soon as the last of them walked out my body gave out sliding down onto the floor. I could feel tears threatening to come out.

It's not my fault my childhood friend happens to be Jake Ortega the most popular guy in school unlike me I've always been the quiet loner type always having my nose in a book. Unlike Jake being captain of the basketball team and all. he's a real charmer he pulls everyone in. Blinking away my tears I sigh grabbing my glasses off the floor I get back up onto my feet. Good, it looks like my glasses didn't break it'd be a pain if they did my eyesight isn't that bad but my glasses make me feel more comfortable walking around the school. I head towards the bathroom inside the locker room looking into the mirror my cheek still red from the impact I grab a paper towel and open the faucet taking the paper towel under the running water I carefully use it to clean my bloody lip which by now was already dried up. Ouch, why is she even bothered by presence around jake he practically treats me like a little sister. I'm currently 15 while jake is 16 he's only six months older than me he's always rubbing it my face dumb dork. "Well, I should probably start heading towards the library hell start to worry" grabbing my backpack I walk out the locker room and head towards the library where jake was waiting for me.

I took a deep breath before opening the doors to the library. Looking around I finally spot him his blonde hair shimmers from the sunlight sweeping in through the window. Sliding the chair back I plop my self into the chair a little too rough as my back aches in pain reminding me of the early incident I had. Without looking up from his phone he says "You're late Alice!" it's not like I meant  to be a late idiot I think to myself "sorry I forgot something in my locker." I said lying obviously. He finally looked up and I saw his hazel-green eyes darken slightly as he looked from my lip to my still slightly red cheek. "Ali, what happened to you?" his voice full of worry. "I just tripped on the stairs, bit my lip when I fell its not a big deal, you know I'm pretty clumsy," I said with a small smile. His eyes stared into mine for what felt like forever he looked like he wanted to ask me again as he didn't quite believe my story but seeing how I would not go back on my story. "Alright then, we need to study jake if you don't pass our next physics test you won't be able to play in the next game" I point at him with a big smile on my face "aren't you lucky that your childhood friend happens to be VERY intelligent" I teased. "Yeah yeah I get it I'm lucky that your willing to tutor me during our free period," he said sarcastically. After about an hour we finished reviewing problems for the next physic test. Bored out of his mind Jake stands up closing his eyes stretches his arms over his head which in turn lifts his shirt ever so slightly that I catch a glimpse of his defined V on his naturally tanned skin. Jake has a good amount of muscles which is no surprise since he's been playing basketball since middle school. I quickly look back to my notebook before he catches me gawking at him I would never hear the end of it. I hate to admit it but I have had the biggest crush on him since middle school. I have never been brave enough to tell him how I feel afraid that it would ruin our friendship. And It doesn't help that our parents are really good friends so I practically see him every day outside of school.
