I SURVIVED
PROLOGUE

I was running, as I had been since I was 16. I was now 24. Why was I running, you ask? I'm a mutant. My power is too control nature and the weather. Sounds pretty cool right? Think again. The government wants to use my power to wipe out all the other mutants. However I had never met another mutant. I still felt like I owed them something. Like I owed it to them to NOT help the government. In a sense I would be betraying my own race!

Anyways, where was I? Oh! So, yeah, I was running, government agents were close on my tail. I swung my hand back and swatted one away with a tree root. I looked back to see him out cold on the ground and his companion was distracted. In his distraction, I grew a hollow tree around myself and looked through a small peep hole I had made. The companion, once he looked up, started to look around for me. Good, I had lost him. THen three more men appeared behind him. One had a Pink Floyd t-shirt, a silver jacket, converse, and matching hair! One of the others was tall and muscular. He had short cut dirty blonde hair and a smug look on his face. The last had semi-long hair, which was brown, by the way. He had ocean blue eyes and was a head shorter than the muscular one. They don't look like government agents. I though.

We aren't. A man's voice said in my head. I freaked out. Then I realized that if I moved the tree would move too, so I decided to stay still.

These guys are like me! I smiled to myself. I'm not alone! Then I decided to keep watching to see how this played out. One of them was obviously a telepath so he would know where I was anyways. Then the muscular man did something unexpected. He raied his fist and delt a fatal blow to the companion's head. He fell to the ground, hopefully he was only unconcious.

"Where is she Charles?" the muscular man asked the one with the semi-long hair, whom I could only assume was Charles.

"In a tree," Charles said in the same british voice I had heard in my head! I gasped, causing the tree I was in to dissolve into ash. It was the men's turrn to gasp now.

"Done staring boys?" I joked. Then I once again started to run.

"Wait!" I heard someone shout. Then Iwas tackled to the ground by the silver haired boy. I started to squirm.

"Get off of me!" I shouted, still squirming. The boy smirked.

"Now why would I do that?" he raised an eyebrow and I groaned.

"Peter!" Charles shouted. "Just get off the poor girl!" Then Peter dissapeared. He then, about a milisecond later, appeared next to the muscular man.

"Super speed," I sighed. "So I had no chance of getting away anyways," The men all raised her eyebrows.

"You said that she hadn't ever met another mutant!" the muscular man said in a questioning voice to Charles who also seemed surprised.

"Yet I know what the powers of some are!" I once again sighed. "Seriously, people always assume that I know nothing!" I exclaimed as I stood up.

"You never told us she was so feisty!" the muscular man smirked.

"If you try to flirt with me again I will end you slowly and painfully," I told him. He raised his hands up in surrender then brought them back down to his side.

"Erik, Erik Leshner," he head out a hand for me to shake, which I hesitantly did. He still had that smug look on his face, I was beginning to hate him.

Don't hate him, he's always like this. Charles said in my head.

You gotta promise me to keep out of my head. I thought.

No promises. He smirked. I sighed. Then he started to speak outloud. "Charles Xavier," I shook his hand.

"Hey, I'm Peter Maximoff!" Peter sad cheerilly.

"I'm assuming you guys already know who I am?" I raised my eyebrows.

"I agree with Erik, I like her sass," Peter, once again, smirked. In one swift motion both Erik and Peter were dangling from tree branches being held by their feet.

"Do not get on my bad side," I warned.

"If only wood was metal," Erik sighed. I raised my eyebrows and then remembered something a scientist said in a lab about someone who could control metal.

"You're Magneto?" I questioned. Everyone looked shocked. I just shrugged. "The government really hates you," Then some more things clicked in my head. I pointed at Peter. "You must be Quicksilver," then I looked over at Charles. "Let's see... telepath... Oh! Professor X!" then I remembered what these guys did. "You help people like me right?" they nodded. "Is that why you're here?" One again, they nodded, apparently still shocked. I laughed. "You guys are some of the most famous mutants in the world and every lab wants you guys! Of course I have heard of you!" Charles smirked. What is he up to?
You have a very interesting mind. I groaned.

"Yeah, well stay out of it!" I said out loud.

"Sorry?" Erik asked.

"Mr. I can read anybody's mind and I don't care if they hate me for it here apparently thinks that my mind is interesting," I told him. I saw something flash in Charles' eyes, hurt? No, he isn't hurt, he doesn't care. I told myself. This tme I couldn't feel a presence in my mind. Good, he's out of my mind.
