I SURVIVED
CHAPTER TWO
IT'S ALL FUN AND... FLIRTING?

"I take it you're a new resident?" Wolverine raised his eyebrows.

"Violet Lovegood,"(yes I just did that!) I extended my hand for him to shake and he hesitantly did so. "Now!" I clapped my hands together. "I know codenames but not real ones!" they all smirked at me. I rolled my eyes.

"Logan," Wolverine said. He was very muscular and kind of gruff and mean sounding, but he was probably nice.

"Alex Summers," havok said and we shook hands. He had blonde hair and was sort of cute, but I wasn't interested in him that way. He seemed like he would make a good friend.

"Hank Mccoy," a man with brown hair and glasses said. I shook his hand.

"If you don't mind me asking, what's your power?" I asked.

"Um.... Well...." he started, scratching the back of his neck nervously.

"It's okay, if it makes you uncomfortable, then you don't have to tell me, I'm sure you'll tell me sometime," I smiled kindly at him.

"Thanks, Violet, you seem really nice," he said.

"Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm nice, I can actually be quite foul mouthed when I'm pissed off," I told him, looking down in embarrassment.

"Oh, don't we know it," Erik joked, reffering to earlier where he flirted with me.

"Hush up, Erik," I rolled my eyes at him.

"Raven, why don't you show her to her room," Charles called over his shoulder as he walked out. Raven seemed like she wanted to follow, so I told her to go.

"It's okay, I know you want to follow him, I can kindly ask someone else to show me to the room," I told her. She gave me a thankful nod and ran off after Charles.

"So... I said that not knowing if any of you would be kind enough or if you would just be assholes," I announced, chuckling a bit. The boys chuckled a bit as well.

"I'll show you to your room," Alex chimed in.

"Oh, what a gentleman," I joked, causing everyone to laugh and Alex to blush wildly. "Oh don't worry, I would've said that to anybody, except a girl or Logan, don't want to get on his bad side," I smirked, this time everyone but Logan was laughing and even he was making a face that suggested he was holding back laughter. "Now, about my room...." Alex nodded and we walked off down a hallway.

"This is it, beautiful," I chuckled a bit when he called me beautiful.

"Mmhm..." I hummed in a sassy tone. "Sure, handsome," I joked back, patting his cheek as I walked into my room, leaving him gaping in the doorway.

Ales Summers POV

I was looking at her until she closed the door. My thoughts were: Damn, what. An. Ass. Then I remembered there was a telepath who was most likely two rooms down the hallway. But still, she's hot. I smirked when I thought of my lame attempt at flirting, and her sassy comeback. She would be great for Erik, or maybe Peter, but most definetly me. I just imagined me with her when the devil herself opened the doorway.

"You gonna stand out there all day?" she asked, raising her eyebrows. I snapped out of my trance and speedwalked back to my room that I shared with Peter.

Violet POV

I smirked when I closed the door and quickly got into the shower. I hadn't had a bath/shower in ages, ever since I ran away from the last government facility. Once I was clean, I brushed my hair with a brush I found in one of the drawers. I then put on some clothes that had been on the bed when I walked in. When I walked into the living room all the boys stopped what they were doing and stared at me. "You'll let flies in boys," I joked, causing them all to snap out of it. "But, seriously, what?" I asked. Just then, Raven walked in and  went over to me.

"I believe they think you are H-O-T!" she whispered in my ear.

"Yeah right," I scoffed. She smirked. "You were serious," I raised my eyebrows.

"And to add to the feistiness, we have...wait for it... sexiness!" Erik smirked at me.

"Mmhm..." I raised my eyebrows. Then Erik seemed to register what he said. I laughed at the look on his face, soon everyone else was too, then Charles walked in.

"What's everyone all choked up about?" he asked.

"If you had seen the look on Erik's face, you would know!" I said in between laughs, yes everyone was still laughing.

"One minute and I'll know," Charles put two fingers to his temple and read someone's mind, not mine, but I could tell it was somebody in the room. When he took his fingers off his temple, he raised his eyebrows. "Oh I can imagine the look on his face after he said that," this caused another fit of laughter to errupt from everyone except Erik, who was blushing beet red. I chuckled once everyone was done because Erik was still beet red. Then I changed the subject.

"Hey, does this place have a garden?" I asked Raven.

"Yeah! I'll take you there! It's absoluteley beautiful this time of year!" Raven seemed very enthusiastic. I smiled at her then I heard Alex say something behind me.

"Not as beautiful as you," he said. I smirked.

"Oh really, handsome?" I turned around and gave him a little kiss on the cheek. "Lead the way, Raven," and with that we went to the gardens.

Charles POV

Once I knew the girls were in the garden, I turned to Erik. "To be honest, she's pretty ugly," I said. Everyone, including Erik gasped. "What, you think that it's so impossible for her to be viewed as ugly?" I asked.

"No, it's just..." Hank trailed off. "Well...."

"No one's heard you insult someone for years," Alex butted in. I glared at him.

"She also seemed pretty nice, what has she done to you?" Erik asked.

"She's nice? She is just a sassy, poor excuse of a prick," I rolled my eyes. Those were actually the opposite of my thoughts about her. The truth was that I was starting to like, no, scratch that, love, her. Then I heard a sob come from the hallway. Oh no. Violet. Erik, Alex, and Hank all ran to the hallway.

"How could you say that!?" Raven came bursting into the room. I was in trouble now. "You son of a bitch! How could you!? You've never said a mean word in your life and then some pretty, sassy, intelligent girl we were supposed to save comes along and you go all bitchy and stuff! I mean, seriously..."

"Raven...." I tried to think of an excuse.

"No! Charles! That's it! You want to know what I found out in the garden?" She asked.

     "What?" I rolled my eyes.

"She has fricken depression!" I went pale.
