Chapter 6: Going Insane

(A/N Hello, hello once again. There will be a song in this one, but I don't know how to download those and will just put the lyrics that you can sing in whatever tone you want. As always, constructive criticism and feedback are appreciated)

I came at him again and again, my attacks a relentless blur as he tries his best to dodge. Something inside me had snapped the day I started cutting, and I realized to myself, I don't have to deal with this bullshit. Who cares if I dust Nightmare and the rest. Their AUs would collapse, but that would make everyone better off. I never wanted to go back to the anti-void, so when I killed off the rest, I would let Error kill me. All I had to do now was distract him enough to make him run away then go dust those two who were destroying an AU. My head was splitting, my stomach churning, my eye sockets pounding as I released wave after wave of pent up anger at Error. At last he managed to duck away long enough to make  portal and disappeared with a whoosh. I laughed and painted my own portal to the AU under attack. 

Nightmare and Cross were quite shocked when I appeared right beside them and started attacking without warning. I blasted them with quick succession attacks, made the snow to ice beneath their feet, and smashed them both into trees which fell on them and pinned them to the floor. I raised the brush, my eye flashing, ready to deliver a final and powerful blow to them both, when something slammed me from behind. A band of some heavy material clamped around my neck and an electric shock ran through my spine and skull. I screamed, the agony so unexpected and welcome at the same time. I faltered as the shock stopped, then, dropping Broomie into the snow, I fell from the air almost in slow motion. I hit the snow with a muffled thud and sighed, trying to reach for Broomie which was kicked out of reach. A face leaned close to mine and grinned but I couldn't make it out as my vision was fading. My eye flashed all sorts of orange shapes as I sighed again, falling out of consciousness.

I was... in the anti-void? But that's not possible, I left there. Blue and Dream were there too? They were yelling at a small skeleton who shivered at their feet. I got close enough to see that the skeleton was me and hear what they were screaming

"How could you not tell us you had no SOUL?!?"

"HAS EVERYTHING YOU TOLD US BEEN A LIE?!? WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!?"

"I thought we were your friends..."

"WE COULD NEVER BE FRIENDS WITH SOMEONE WHO LIED FROM DAY ONE!!!"

"No, stop, please. Let me explain!" I cried at their feet.

Instead they just walked away, and the me disappeared into the floor. I started whipping around wildly looking for some way, any way out. There was none. Everything wrong that I had done, or hadn't done, started flashing through my vision before I fell to my knees screaming. The Ink Papyruses were there too screaming along with me, or at me, I couldn't tell. I stood up and started singing. It was the only thing I could think that would make them go away.

"They send me away to find them a fortune, a chest filled with diamonds and gold. The house was awake with shadows and monsters, the hallways they echoed and groaned.

I sat alone in bed till the mornin' I'm crying "They're coming for me!". And I try to hold these secrets inside me, my mind's like a deadly disease"

As I'm reaching the chorus, the Papyruses do disappear, but are replaced with the different me of each AU with each yelling about how they died.

"I'm bigger than my body! I'm colder than this ho~me! I'm meaner than my demons! I'm bigger than these bo~nes! 

And all the kids cried out, "Please stop you're scaring me!". I can't help this awful energy! GOD DAMN RIGHT YOU SHOULD BE SCARED OF ME! Who is in control~?"

As I reached the next verse I turned around as the AU mes disappeared and came face to face with Nightmare himself. I charged at him and he disappeared as well.

"I paced around for hours on empty, I jumped at the slightest of sounds. And I couldn't stand the person inside me, I turned all the mirrors around!"

The entire glitched crew was there, all screaming at me. I screamed back loud enough to drown them out entirely.

I... I'm awake. Where am I? I blink slowly, trying to gain my bearings before rolling over and expelling a lot of pent up bile from my stomach. I sat up, trying to get away from the mess I had made. Which is difficult, as my hands are tied behind my back. I get up and blink again. I seem to be underground in a stone walled place. My hands and legs are tied and I can feel that the heavy band is still around my neck. It seems that the band is attached to the wall by a long chain that gives me slack enough to move, but not enough that I could get to the door. I scoot closer the place where the chain is attached and see a separate string on the wall below it. Looks like if I pull the chain taunt it will have some kind of reaction that I doubt would be good on my part. I try to free my hand so I can summon Broomie, but I can't seem to break whatever strong rope my kidnapper has used. And speaking of my kidnapper...

"sO... FiNalLy AwAke aRe YoU?"

I scrambled as up as I could with my legs tied, actually, genuinely scared that I was going to die and leave Blue and Dream to handle all of these mad glitches. Before me stood Error, who seems to have forgotten that he's wearing my scarf as he quickly stuffs it away.

"What's wrong with you? Why haven't you killed me?" I yell at him, scared out of my mind.

"i DiDn'T SavE YoU FrOm A lIfE oF RegrET jUsT tO dUsT YoU InK." He growls.

"What are you, some saint now?" I laugh truly losing my mind by now.

"nO... iT'S JuSt... yOu AnD i ArE mOrE AliKE ThAn i ThOugHt FoR aLl ThEse yEaRs."

I scoff and scoot further away from him, grabbing the base of the chain and glaring at him. He glares right back.

"i WoUldN't dO ThAt iF i WeRe YoU"

I ignore him and pull on it, just a little. It sends a shock into the collar and I gasp, letting it drop quickly. He scrunches his eye sockets closed and sighs.

"I'vE iNvIteD A fRiEnD oF MinE hErE. I'lL bE baCk wHeN hE ArRiVeS."

He leaves and I slump against the wall near the chain. 'Where were Dream and Blue now?' I doubt Error did them any harm, but I definitely worry that they won't be able to fight back when Error turns his attention to them. Lucky for me, I know how to get out of this situation. I hobble over close to the door and, grinning, I fall forward, pulling the chain taunt as it would go. I couldn't hold back the scream as the electricity floods my body until it becomes too much and it all fades to black.
