Happy Reading!
Days passed by and the day of hearing was nearing. That night for Avyakta has really been tough. The more she would think about it the more it hurted her. She would clench her fist keeping it against her abdomen and in no time, tears would spit out through her eyes. The mother instincts were still there with her but there was no baby. Now, again Avyakta and Siddhant started living in their own worlds. Both had many emotions, words, thoughts to share but the plethora of pain was distancing themselves. The quietness was shouting but they really can't live their lives like this. The past was gone.Their family was remained unknown to the fact that Avyakta was aware of her past now. But they could again sense the deep sadness behind their faces and soon they were able to know the hidden emotions.
As a child, Avyakta was always made to experience happiness, the cheerful side of life but her life was not void of ups and downs, too. She was aware the gloomiest side of life but always behaved as an optimistic.
During her teenager years too, she was a bright child and was always motivated as a mature one in her family but... somewhere inside her, a question would pop, that scared her–
What if the happiness that always surrounds me,would vanish away, leaving me all shattered?
But she would shoo away those thoughts, blaming it to be the outcome of her overthinking.
And today, her doubts, came out to be a reality. Maybe, she had everything in life, a desired profession, a perfect family, understanding husband but not Peace in life. Life was playing games with her,she thought.
"Avyakta"
Siddhant's heavy voice laced with despondency broke Avyakta's thoughts, who stood with a tea mug. Her face was hitting the slow breezes of morning.
Siddhant came to her and handed her an official document.
"Sign them."
He could utter only this much, and handing her the papers,he was about to walk away, when he was stopped by her voice.
"Siddhant."
Without turning around,he spoke to the lady behind him.
"Some formalities. Just need your signatures."
He sighed and closed his eyes. He was about to walk away but a tug on his hand and he was stopped. He turned around to see her, Avyakta, with her eyes that reflected many emotions but face was equally emotionless.
"I won't say anything now, Avyakta. You are free to say what you feel,is right for you in the court. This is a fight between you and your adversary, now. You want justice, Go get it."
He put his hand on her hand and stared for sometime. She stood quiet and could only see him going out from the room. It was after 2-3 days, he spoke something with her, otherwise there was a deafening silence between them.
A sigh escaped from her mouth when she stared at those papers given by him. Then, she turned her face towards the morning's sunshine. Didn't know what lay ahead for her. Just some hope for the best.

"You go. I'm coming."
In the following week, Avyakta and Siddhant would somehow, spoke to each other but they would talk in small sentences only. Siddhant's restlessness was at it's peak as the hearing date was nearing. He could sense Avyakta's condition, who, from outside, remained all stiff and composed but from inside, maybe, he felt, she was preparing herself.
The next day, was D-Day for both of them. They both knew the raging fire inside them for their dearest enemy.
It was Friday evening, when they were coming back from their respective workplaces. He asked her to go home leaving her near their parking area, since he had to buy some stuffs. Avyakta, nodded and walked ahead, only to find their neighbours coming to her way and sooner they busied her in their talks.
Siddhant, after buying the stuffs, parked his car and taking the polybags walked ahead, lost in his thoughts. He looked completely tired.
While his mind absorbed him in his thoughts, he was unaware of the attack that was about to take place, on him.
The pathway was only visible due to the street lights, which was engulfed in the shimmering darkness. All he could hear now, was some random horns and the barking dogs, when suddenly a knock on his back and he fell down, immediately. The polybags from his hands were lying down motionless, on the ground. The empty road for now was decorated with the items lying on the ground. While, Siddhant on the other hand, could feel the pain, his back gave. Another, blow but he immediately held the thing, directed towards him and could sense, it was an iron road. The pain lasted for long but Siddhant was able to bear it. He was lying down with his back touching the ground, his hand holding the iron rod and he tried to look for the person, whose face was hidden in a black hoody. He couldn't look clearly.
