The creaking footsteps stopped in front of my closet.

I held my hands behind my back, hoping and praying he wouldn't look close enough to tell that the tape was ripped.

The light burst in as he pulled the wooden door open, his menacing grin pointed down at me. He smiled. His yellowing teeth crooked in his mouth. He stooped down, one arm holding the closet door and one sliding down the side of the closet wall. He was three inches away from my face, his disgusting breath on my face. My eyes were filling with tears, the terror evident on my face.

He saw it. He drank in my fear. He enjoyed the seconds that were going by slowly with me in distress.

I slowed my breathing. I blinked slowly.

3...2...1...

I lunged forward. I threw my arms towards his neck. I opened my mouth and bit his face like a vicious animal. This was my only chance to be able to survive. This was it. I had to go for it with my whole being. I screamed. I clawed. I scratched at his eyes.

He was howling, in pain, surprise and anger. He was grabbing my face, my arms anything he could to get me off of him. I kicked him in the sides, I tried to throw my knees into his balls. I did everything and anything in a frenzy of fear and strength.

I wasn't even strong. I was barely taller than his shoulders. And yet somehow I had been able to hold him down this long. I was getting tired though. He was getting more angry. To my complete horror he was pulling something out of his pocket in the struggle. I was still fighting to get away from him now that he had my hair in his fist. With his other hand he slowly pulled it out.

I heard the click. I felt the hard tip of it push into my side. I struggled and struggled to slide out of his grip with no success. I looked at him in fear. He smiled.
