YOUR POV

When Barley came back, and Ian had passed out on the bed.
Poor thing was so tired, and both Barley and I knew why.
Ian's arm had draped around my shoulder, and his mouth was wide open with a snore.
Barley dropped the Quest Mart bags off and rifled through them, finally coming across a can of whipped cream.
"Do you dare me?" He asked with a smirk.
I looked at my boyfriend's cute sleeping face. Not a care in the world. He looked so peaceful, so quiet.
I looked back at Barley.
"Do it."
We both giggled like little girls as he tiptoed toward Ian, uncapping the whipped cream. He shook it, and tilted the can toward Ian's mouth.
wshhhh
Ian's eyes shot open and he immediately sat up, whipped cream flying onto the bed. Barley and I doubled over in laughter, and Ian gulped down the rest of the sugary cream.
"What was that for?!" Ian scolded, however we could see he wasn't angry.
"We thought it would be funny," I teased with a smirk.
"And it was!" Barley roared, holding the whipped cream up in glory.
Ian's eyebrows raised, and he looked over at me.
"(Y/n)... how could you?!" He clutched his chest in fake remorse. "The ultimate betrayal!!!"
"Aww poor baby," I responded, planting a sweet kiss on his cheek.
"Alright, lovebirds." Barley put the can in the mini-fridge and flopped on the other bed. "I'll take this bed for tonight. We have a big day tomorrow."
"When do you think we'll make it to Ocean's Orcania?" I asked, and Ian settled back down, snuggling up to my chest.
"Probably around noon tomorrow," Barley reached to turn his lamp off. "Speaking of our quest, how far have you gotten in your magic training?"
"I think I'm doing pretty well," I shrugged. "For an apprentice."
"I'm impressed. You might even surpass Ian." Barley motioned to his hand to his little brother.
"We'll see... Ian's probably the most talented wizard I know, and even my mom was one."
"Yeah, he's definitely a great wizard."
I looked down at the mop of curly hair sleeping on my chest, then smiled. I kissed the top of his head before whispering a "good-night" and leaning to turn the lamp off.

I woke up to the sound of Barley slamming the door. Beams of sunlight flashed in my eyes, and I covered my arm over my eyes to avoid it.
I turned in the bed to see Ian, standing up by the dresser and adjusting his backpack. His eyes met mine and he smiled.
"Good morning, sleeping beauty," he greeted, sitting down on the bed next to me.
"Hey," I smiled, reaching up and stroking his cheek. He leaned into my touch and kissed my hand, then took it in his own.
"Are you ready for today?"
"Maybe..." I smiled, sitting up in bed. "I might need a few more lessons," I poked his chest and he smirked.
"Hmm.. I have a feeling you're not talking about magic."
"Nope." I smiled and pulled him close, giving him a peck on the lips, then jumping out of bed and heading to get my bag.
"Oh, no you don't!" Ian grabbed my hand and pulled me close, putting his hands on my waist. "You can't just leave me hanging like that,"
"I can do what I want, Lightfoot," I climbed on his lap, pulling his face so close our lips brush.
"I won't stop you."
I kissed his lips softly, and he retaliated. His lips were soft and tasted incredible, at least to me.
He stood and held me in his arms, our kiss not breaking until he swiveled around and placed me gently on the bed, climbing overtop my body.
We broke the kiss soon after, and I smiled sweetly at him.
"Now can I get my bag?"
"Hmm.." he mimed long thought before nodding. "Sure."
I laughed and shoved him aside gently before taking my duffel bag and leading him out to the van.
"Alright. So update from mom: nothing has happened in regards to Titania yet, so we have enough time to make it to Ocean's Orcania before her possible uprising at sunset." Barley reported from the front seat as Ian and I climbed in the back.
"What will she do when she uprises?" I asked with curiosity.
Barley inhaled through his teeth and turned around to fully face us.
"I wanted to wait until you two were at a high enough enchanting level, but now that you mention it I might as well tell you now." He stood and sat with us in the back.
"I know she was scary in the house, but when Titania Cybele collects enough magic, her form can grow into the size of a mountain. Like, Raven's Point size. When she reaches maximum magic capacity, she gains her throne back to the galaxy, and all hell could break loose. When she reaches a victim she can easily take something sentimental from them to weaken their magic barrier. You guys have anything sentimental on you?"
I froze in place when I realize what I still have in my bag.
"Shit." Ian looked at me with realization as I opened my bag, pulling out what we both knew was coming.
Our rock we painted in the forest.
"Yeaaaah unfortunately, we're gonna have to ditch that." Barley stood and made his way to the front of the van. "Say your goodbyes."
Ian and I both held the lump of earth covered in acrylic. Then looked at each other.
"Well.." Ian looked up with a sad smile. "It was good while it lasted."
"Yeah."
We both stood at the van's door and tossed the rock, letting it plop at the parking lot's ground.
"Well," Ian rubbed the back of his neck. "That was anti-climatic."
All of a sudden a thick curl of smoke started to thunder through the air. Ian gasped and instinctively held his arm out for protection.
Titania appeared in a boom of black smoke, looking down at the van and smirking.
"Hmm... how lucky was I to find you here?" She cackled and curled her finger, and suddenly my grip on gravity started to deteriorate. Ian gasped as he saw my body detach from the van's floor and float toward the princess.
"(Y/n)!!!" He cried, reaching out to grab my arm, but I could only feel the brush of his hand as it slipped away.
He ran toward Titania, demanding for her to let me go, but she didn't. I squirmed and kicked, trying to break free from her invisible hold but she kept me trapped in her grip.
"Ian!!"
"Your precious Ian can't save you now, I'm afraid," Titania let out a maniacal laugh before snapping her fingers.
Everything went black.

IAN'S POV
(Y/n) has disappeared completely with Titania, and I couldn't believe what had just happened.
"No.." I mumbled under my breath, and Barley ran over as I collapsed to the ground.
"Ian, buddy.."
"No!" I cried, standing and running back to the van, grabbing the book of spells and flipping through to see if there was anything I could cast to save her.
Nothing.
"The only thing we can do now is make it to Ocean's Orcania," Barley rubbed my shoulder in comfort.
"Alright.."
I stood and put the book down, looking down at my brother.
"Let's go save (y/n)."

Hey guys!
This story is almost wrapped up!
A reminder that I have a oneshot series on my page, and I would absolutely love some suggestions! I can do a ship with any character set (except Ian and Barley, because uh, no.) and I'll do reader and character Oneshots/imagines.
Thanks for reading!
