chapter 10

i looked at the guy standing in front of me but his back was turned so i couldn't see his face but i recognized his tattoos. it's aiden.

i watched as the scene played out while i felt a knot form in my stomach. aiden pushed the guy and he fell flat on the ground.

for a moment i was scared and i wanted to do something but what was i going to do? aiden is much taller than me and obviously stronger

the guy that was on the ground didn't bother to go for aiden, instead he got up and walked off.

i was still in a state of shock as he turned around to face me.

"thank you" i whispered with my head down and he didn't answer, he just looked at me and walked off. "wtf was that?"i thought to myself.

i walked back over to the booth and told ally that i was ready to leave so she told jay goodbye and i did the same. i called an uber and we waited outside until it came.

back at the hotel the first thing i did was get in the shower, while the hot water beat against my body i feel my thoughts drifting to what happened tonight. if he didn't want to talk to me then why did he even help me?

we haven't spoken in weeks so i didn't even expect him to do anything but as shocking as his actions were the most confusing part was that he didn't even say a word to me.

i got out of the shower and went into the bedroom where ally was sitting on the floor with her phone in her hand then she looked up at me

"what happened why you wanted to leave so early?" she shifted her body towards me

"a whole scene happened with the guy that was being creepy then aiden stepped in for some reason" i explain to her as i watch a shocked expression grow on her face

"aiden helped you?" her eyes were wide open

"yea i think it's weird too but what's even weirder is that when i thanked him he didn't even answer he just looked at me"i said as i picked at my nails

"maybe he isn't ready to talk to you yet" she shrugs her shoulders and gets up off of the floor

"maybe" i say as i look through my bags for something to wear, i'm really glad that ally and i are now sharing a room because i can be more comfortable and open

ally left the room and told me that she'll probably be out all night so i shouldn't wait up. i presume that she's just going somewhere with jay so i turned on netflix on my phone and chose a series to watch.

after a while i heard my stomach grumble so i got up to see if there was anything to eat in the kitchen. i opened almost every single thing in there and there was absolutely nothing to eat.

i was so annoyed but i remembered that there was a little 24 hour cafè nearby but the only problem was that i'd have to go outside which i wasn't planning on doing.

i groan as i head towards the bedroom to grab something more appropriate to wear outside. i sift through my bag and i find a pair of sweatpants and a T-shirt, i get dressed and slide on a pair of slippers before leaving the room.

i walk down the hall with my head down avoiding anyone who might be coming my way, i head down to the cafè and there's barely anyone there which i'm thankful for

as i head inside of the cafè my eye catches a girl leaned up against a wall and a guy bracing himself on her, at first i didn't care but then i spotted the familiar tattoos

i stopped for what felt like forever and i think he noticed me staring at him because he looked up and gave me a half smile before turning back to the girl in front of him

i felt a flame ignite inside of me but i had to remind myself that he wasn't someone i wanted to be close to and he didn't care how i felt.

i continued walking towards the counter and i placed my order, i played around with the hem of my shirt as i waited for it to be ready.

i looked through the window and they were still there touching on each other, i stuck my tongue out and pretended to vomit later laughing at my childish gesture

i looked up when a tall guy with ginger hair told me my order was ready, i thanked him and payed before walking out

as i walked out of the cafè i checked my phone to see what time it was then i placed it back into my pocket before i turned a corner to go back to my room and as predicted aiden was standing there with the same girl basically drooling over him. ew.

i kept my head held down and grabbed onto the bag tighter as a source of comfort maybe?, i sucked in a deep breath and i began to walk past the two.
as i was about to pass them i heard the girl say "oh look it's aiden's one time" she said it as if it was nothing and i wanted to wipe the smile she had off of her face

i looked up and aiden was still facing her but he turned his face to me for a slight moment and if i was being honest with myself a part of me actually wanted him to say something but he didn't.
