Chapter Eight

"Sebastian!"

"Yes?"

"This is a GREAT idea for an adventure. I've always wanted to go to an aquarium!"

"You've never been to one before?"

"Nope, this is my first time coming. My parents didn't let me leave the house much..."

"It's a good thing I decided to take you today."

"Yes it is." He gets out of the car and I stay in my seat. I love water animals. This will be the first time I see them. As I'm thinking about all of this, Sebastian comes around to the other side of the car and opens the door for me. When he taps my shoulder, I jump.

"Whoa you startled me." I hop out of the car. "Thanks." He grins.

"Let's make this a thing." I look at him.

"What?"

"Taking you to places you've never been, taking you to places for the first time....opening the door for you. That."

"Really? You're lucky I haven't gone to many places. That won't be hard." I smile. Suddenly, he grabs my arm. I gasp, realizing someone was about to run into me.

"Thanks. It's hard to know what you're saying while walking without running into anything."

"I'll hold onto your arm so you don't bump into anything else." He holds my arm like a gentleman. I smile.

"Thank you."

After we get into the building, we go to see some seals first. I let out a squeal.

"They're so cute. Awww." I see Sebastain grinning out of the corner of my eye.

I'm excited by every animal we see. I thought Sebastian would get sick of it, but it makes him happy. We make it back to the car after seeing EVERY animal there.

"That was so fun. Thank you so much for taking me!"

"My pleasure."

"It's all I imagined it would be and more. The animals are so much better in person. They're sooooo cute."

"I'm glad you had a good time."

"That's an understatement. I had the most fun I've had in forever! Really Sebastian. Thank you. I'm glad you took me to this place. I don't think it would have been as fun without you."

"I was a little nervous. I didn't know if you liked animals."

"I don't just 'like' animals. I LOVE them. My parents never let me have a pet." I say the last part dramatically. He laughs. "So did you have any pets?"

"Yes, actually. We had four dogs."

"Awwwww. I wish I could have had even just one dog."

"I would have shared them if I had known you then."

We stop at my dorm. I don't want to say goodbye to him, but I know I must. I turn to him.

"Thank you so much Sebastian. This has been a lovely day." I throw my arms around him, and he hugs me back.

"Thanks for coming on this adventure date."

I don't know how, but my smile got wider. I kissed his cheek. I unbuckle my seatbelt and reach for the door handle. He stops me.

"Don't go out yet." He hurriedly gets out of the car. He rushes to my side and opens the door.

"Thank you so much." He walks me to my door. I give him another hug, and he walks away.
