The warm air filled Arthur's lungs
He stared at the snow covered mountain
They seemed so close...
"Glad we're out of that freezing cold" A voice spoke from behind him, pulling him out of a trance
"Huh?" He turned around not paying attention
"Oh, hello Charles" Arthur replied one he recognized who was there
Charles smiled "I'm not bothering you, am I?"
Arthur shook his head "No, no. I was just-"
He motioned to the mountains
"—day dreaming I guess" Arthur laughed embarrassed
Charles laughed softly
"Well" He broke the short silence "Pearson's been asking me if I can go hunting. Since were no longer in snow. We may actually catch something" Charles glanced around him "I wanted to know if you'd like to come with me. You did well while we were in the mountains"
"What about your hand, is it feeling better" Arthur scrunched his nose and thought for a moment "Wait... are you actually going to hunt this time. Or are you going to pull the tricks you did last time"
Charles smiled and patted Arthur's back
"I'll be waiting at the hitching post"
Arthur laughed and called out "That's not an answer!"
Charles didn't respond which made Arthur only more curious
"So where are we going?" Arthur asked grabbed the reigns of his horse
"I heard there was a herd of Bison just outside of Emerald Ranch" Charlie's began to saddle up
"Ah...alright" He nodded and jumped on his horse
The two rode for a while along the dirt path
"I don't know what Dutc—"
"Hush" Charles cut Arthur off
Arthur gave Charles a look then realized, they were a few feet away from a big herd of the wild animal
Charles held his hand up, telling Arthur to keep quiet
The both slowly got of their horses, Charles motioned for Arthur to grab his bow
They slowly made their way to the Bison and went for the kill
Success
"Don't tell me it was that easy" Arthur whispered to Charles
"It usually isn't" He chuckled softly
They both got up slowly and walked up to the lifeless body
Charles knelt down
"He's still breathing" He frowned as he pulled out his knife to put the poor animal out of its misery
They stared down at the body
"I can...skin this and take it back to camp if you'd like to head on back. It's getting late" Arthur motioned back the way they came
"You don't want my help?" Charles seemed shocked
"Well I was just trying to be nice" Arthur threw his hands up "we can both do this if you'd like"
"Oh..no no no, you can do this" He smiled
Arthur shook his head and motioned "...get on back then"
