2002 Rainbow Kisses

CHAPTER 6

After the stunt I pulled earlier I sleep early. I was actually thinking of waiting for my dad so we can talk but I am so embarrassed so I decide to sleep early.
I decide to call Sammy first though so I can catch up with her.
She answers on the second ring.

Sam: Heyy girl
Rain:hey Sam, are you busy
Sam:Nah, not really, I could talk
Rain:I don't even know where to start, so yesterday right. I decide to surprise Jace at Zack's party. I mean he asked me to go out with him to these parties one time when we started dating and I shut him down immediately, I told him it was not my scene. So I was like, what the heck, I might as well go this one time, just get out of my comfort zone for once.
Sam:Yeahhh??
Rain:okay, so I get there at around 9pm and I start looking for Jace, I ask around and someone tells me he must be upstairs so I better start there. I go upstairs and yeah I find him up there in a room with a bunch of people and guess what there was a blond bimbo sitting on him and they looked really cozy.
Sam:and??thats nothing Sam, I thought it was going to be something drastic.
Rain:I'm not done, so I call his name and the girl girl snarls at me but Jace doesn't even say anything. He gets up and comes to were I'm standing and pushes me out the room. So I ask him if he is not going to introduce me to his friends, he just brushes it off and says I wouldn't fit in anyway. I was hurt but I just decide to let it go. So then we go downstairs together, he then asks me to go get him a drink in the kitchen. So I go right, it takes me a while to get to the kitchen since they were so many people in the house.
I think ten minutes later I get back and I'm holding his drink. I look around were I left him but he is not there anymore. That's when I spot him in a corner with his tongue down the same bimbo who was sitting on his laps upstairs.
Sam:woah, really? Now I really regret not going to that party. Dammnn, what did you do?
Rain:Really Sam, that's what you care about. That you were not there to witness my embarrassment.
Sam:Of course not Rainy, I'm. Just saying, okay what did you do after you saw that. I hope you did not do anything foolish now.
Rain:I confronted him Ofcourse and he kept saying I'm over reacting. He even had the audacity to say he thought it was me!!I that was really fucked up. I mean the girl is slender, blond, tall and I'm neither and I'm pretty sure we do not wear the same perfume. So that was just bullshit.
Sam:Come on, he was drunk, maybe he did think it you or something. I don't know, what are you going to do now? You're going to forgive him though right?
Rain:I don't know, I don't want to be made a fool of Sam
Sam:come on, it was just this one time. Jace is in most of my classes and since you guys started dating 2 months ago people have started noticing me since he talks to me in class. Don't take away my street cred.
Rain:Sam this is serious, can you not make fun right now please. I doubt you need Jace to fit in with the cool kids anyway.
Sam:you would say that, you're either always at the library on your free time and you go home immediately when you lessons end. You don't want to have friends in varsity. You do not even know anyone beside me and Jace.
Rain:why is this suddenly about you and and your social life though? I thought you would comfort me or something. I just found out my boyfriend cheated on me and he hasn't even tried to call me at all since yesterday and it is almost 7pm.

Sam:Sorry Fluffy, you're right this is not about me. Umm did you manage to finish the assignment that Mr Kendricks gave us in communication skills. I haven't even started.
Rain:Sam really? The dead line is tomorrow. I knew you would not have done it. I will help you with the pointers okay.
Sam that's sobbing through the phone
Sam:I'm going to fail this assignment. It's 50% of the final mark. I thought the dead line what next week Monday. Rain, what am I going to do.

Rain:don't worry I will help you out with it okay, I finished all my assignments, I will do the first half of questions for you and you do the rest okay.
Sam:oh my really Rain, thank you so much, what would I do without you and your smart brain. Thank you, well let me not keep you, we will talk tomorrow okay. And I hope you cns work things out with Jace.
Rain:okay love, do the assignment immediately when you end this call Sam. I am not going to bail you out always you know.
Sam: yeah I will.

We end the call and I begin the first 5 questions of Sam's paper. They are essay type questions so they need a lot of concentration. I have always helped out Sam with her assignments since we were 10. The first time I helped her out she was struggling in class during a biology test back in grade 5. I let her copy my answers. After that we became best friends. I guess she was greatful I helped her and we always had each other's backs ever since then. That was the second time I helped her out. First with the mean girls then secondly with the biology test.

It takes me 2 hours to finish up everything. Now all that's left is to give the work to Sam so she can go submit the work herself tomorrow. Mr Kendrinks is really old school. He wants us to hand in our assignments, he doesn't want anything sent my email. He says it reduces copying. He sometimes even wants us to handwrite our assignments so he knows everyone did the work.
But I always thought it would be easier to use the soft copies so that he could use the plagiarism tester or whatever it is called which checks for copying from other people's work.
But what do I know.

My mind ends up going back to Jace, how come he has not even called me not once. Maybe I did over react and it was nothing just as Sam said.
I mean I'm lucky someone like Jace even gave me a second look.
I didn't even know Jace went to my school the first time I saw him with Sam 3 months ago.
I really am in my own world.
Jace is in two of my classes.
He is in my communications skills class with Sam and in one of my English literature classes too.
He has 2 other lessons with Sam.

I mean I did not even know, the first time he got my number he called me during the English Lit class and told me to look back and that's when I saw him sitting at the back of the class with his pack of friends.
We started talking then and he courted me for a month until I ended up giving in. He was really charming.
I just did not belive it.
I always thought he wanted to DUFF me. That situation when a guy likes a certain girl and he decides to approach one of  the girl's friend who looks the most approachable and uses her as a way in.

Well I was wrong because he asked me out on a date a week later. We hanged out a lot but I still refused to believe he was interested in me like that. Romantically I mean. A month later I just decided to agree to dating him and we have been together for two months now. Well I don't know if we are still together now honestly.
He was actually my first boyfriend and to think my first boyfriend was that hot. Our first date was really romantic, we went out on a picnic. What made it romantic was that it was at night time so the stars were out. I love the stars so much, my dad says I got it from my grandmother. He says his mother was always outside during the night and would just lay down on the lawn and look up at the stars, he said his mother told him the nighttime under the stars helped her relax. That's why my dad got me a baywindow so I could just sit there and look at the stars at night.
Ever since I told Jace that I loved the stars we started going out mostly at night during week days and  sometimes only because he has to work Monday, Thursday and sometimes on Sunday. I was glad he worked on Thursday nights because i still got a chance to hang with my Dad for our Thursday father daughter dates.
So  Tuesdays were our date nights, this Saturday was the first time I actually decided to surprise him. He asked me one time if I partied and I said noo so we left it at that.

Anyway tomorrow is another day, I guess we will talk tomorrow in school.

I still have to apologize to my father too for my behavior, but I can do that when I see him at breakfast tomorrow hopefully.

Well I might as well choose what I am going to wear tomorrow so I open my closet. I choose a black knee length large hoodie which hides my body and black jeggings and my allstar black converse.
